Bearing Point completed a wide variety of improvements to the Dewatering and Drying facility including the replacement of a Rotary Drum Dryer, Pelletizer and other dewatering equipment. This project also included the installation other specialized equipment such as a progressive dust mitigation system and state-of-the-art fire suppression system.
With a high demand to handle intense and prolonged rain events, the City of Largo was in desperate need of upgrading its wastewater reclamation facility. Bearing Point was there to perform a wide variety of these upgrades including a new headworks with a state-of-the-art grit collection system, a new waste-activated sludge thickener, a new odor control system and degasifier, as well as improvements to the influent pump station and digesters.
As part of a plant expansion project, Lee County was in need of three additional primary clarifiers and other process equipment. Bearing Point was able to work closely with plant staff to facilitate the installation and commissioning of three new clarifier mechanisms, without disrupting plant operation.
