My wife and I cannot say enough great things about Pete Beavers and his team at Pacific Northwest Carpentry. We wanted to do a minor bathroom remodel, removing the existing tub and installing a walk-in shower. We looked at 3 companies and Pete’s was head and tails above the competition. Pete and his crew did a great job on our project. We had them install multiple doors, crown molding and trim to all of our windows. My husband and I were very impressed with the way it turned out. Pete was honest, dependable and easy to work with. He was super patient with us while we were trying to decide on style window trim we wanted. The guys that did the job were very hardworking and professional. You can tell that they take pride in their work. Pete and his guys did a fantastic job on a full kitchen remodel. He has specialists on his crew and subs set up to do everything from cabinet install, drywall, tile, electrical, plumbing and painting. They went the extra effort to make sure we were satisfied with the results. We also contracted PNW Carpentry to convert our home from electric to gas appliances.

With our kitchen remodel complete (see my previous recommendation on 3/10/2021), we decided to again hire PNC for our master bathroom job. Pete Beavers and his crew did an outstanding job and the work that Mark did was absolutely top notch. We feel blessed to have found Pacific Northwest Carpentry, Inc. for our home remodel just completed by Pete Beavers and his team. We contacted the owner for an estimate for porch wrap of beams and a 2nd long range budgetary estimate for a garage door repair. I clearly stated that the garage door repair was a future estimate we weren't immediately doing. After months of trying to schedule the porch wrap the owner replied he would not come out for just porch wrap, this was never mentioned before and really left a bad impression. If the owner has a minimum SOW/ charge it should be given up-front in clear terms.

Pete and his crew did a stellar job on my full kitchen/dining room remodel, and were a joy to work with over the past four months. This was a tough job- the house is an older fixer-upper, and previous owners had made some pretty "interesting" decisions with it in the past. PNC came up with great solutions to correct its myriad flaws, and communicated with me honestly and promptly throughout the whole process. [Update] Pete raises a good point that I had forgotten. When, as a single woman, I expressed hesitation about giving a complete stranger a key to my house, the response was "What are we going to steal, your crappy tv? I got my daughter one just like it for her dorm room." But honestly, that wasn't the issue that I had with them. My major issues, again, were:

Pete and his crew were absolutely amazing to work with for our kitchen remodel. We have a little boy that gets into everything, but I never had to worry because Pete and his crew always left with everything cleaned up.
They met every need we asked for and more. Our house was not up to code and our electricity box was from 1969 and they fixed everything for us at a very reasonable price.
I have worked with other contractors and they were never as friendly as Pete was every single time. I will be using him again for our bathroom and any other projects I can.

Pete,Matt, Kenny, Mark and the others at Pacific Northwest Carpenters were wonderful in our kitchen remodel. They always showed up on time, they were willing to do extra work at no extra cost, and their estimate was exact and never changed. In order to meet our timeline they had to make several adjustments which they did cheerfully. They were detailed and perfectionistic about their work. We recently bought a new home and knew we would gut the Kitchen. We have never used a contractor before and had been told a million horror stories from friends and family. Pete assigned 2 crew to install our kitchen cabinets. They did not clarify a measurement with either me or my GC around our kitchen vent, so the cabinets were installed off center from the ceiling lights and were flush with the opening of a door where no trim could be installed. Plus they mounted handles where 4 were dimpled from screws that were too long and trim was not glued down securely. When the GC did not wrap a post before the crew came, his crew did not call to inform me or the GC. A mess up from his kitchen designer with a cabinet needed to be changed. Fabulous fireplace redo! I was very happy with the work that Pete and all of his subcontractors did for me. I wanted bookshelves installed against my living room wall on either side of an outdated fireplace. Pete ordered the custom made bookshelves for me and put some beautiful tile around the fireplace and gave me a new mantle. I love it!! Everyone showed up on time consistently, they even stayed late on the last day to finish. I would definitely recommend Pete and friends to anyone who needs some work done on their home.
