My firm designs residential and commercial projects for clients in northern California, each one a unique response to site and purpose. The design process must embrace human aspects of architecture (beauty, scale, function, and comfort) in order to create meaningful spaces for people.

Originally from Maryland, Robert studied architecture and fine art at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence.
In 1993, he became a project architect in Telluride, Colorado and for the next seven years helped create an array of custom residential and commercial projects before co-founding One Architects, Inc. A registered architect in Maryland, Colorado and California, Robert moved his young family to California in 2000 and launched his Sonoma studio in 2003.
