Absolutely terrible business and customer service experience. We were prompted to purchase a new mother board for our washing machine, at the bargain basement price of $400. Ultimately, it was a loose wire on the actuator ($15 fix), to correct the issue. Worth it to wait 5 weeks without a washer! Shockingly, their stellar work has now failed again, just weeks later. In this emergency situation, they could get back out to review /correct their work in a mere 3-4 weeks?! Awesome! I have been a very loyal of Hi-Tech for over 30 years, until recently I have recommended them highly to many friends and neighbors, this is no longer the case. About 2 months ago I called to schedule service for our microwave oven (it is integrated into a wall unit that includes an oven). For some reason, they suddenly have merged my account with my late father-in-laws account (he passed away over 3 years ago). It looks like I'm not the only person who posted about Hi Tech's lack of professionalism, accountability and several failed attempts at diagnosing an appliance problem. It’s a shame to write a poor review, however, I’d hate for anyone else to waste their time and money. Not only did the tech fail to appropriately assess the problem the first time they came out, the repair person angrily exploded the second time they came out because they felt inconvenienced and “had other customers waiting” even though 1) it was their manager who scheduled them to come out to fix the problem they had failed

We purchased high-quality and highly energy-efficient appliances for both our home and rental from Hi Tech. Phil was our salesperson for both. The experience was great! Phil really knows his stuff and was super helpful and responsive. The process of working with Hi Tech from purchase through delivery was easy. The install crews are great. We have had a W/D set from Hi Tech for a number of years and the one time we needed service, that was great too. We used Hi-Tech for a fireplace renovation, switching from wood to gas and redoing the surrounds. Hi-Tech didn’t do the finishing work on the surrounds, but they worked with us to make sure that our structure worked with what we had in mind. Everyone we interacted with was honest, pleasant, and hardworking. We are really happy with the finished product. We will definitely keep them in mind for other appliance needs!

Very impressed with the repairman who came to check out my washer/dryer. I have had three different repairmen work on this washer/dryer. Allen was the very best, and knew more about what he was doing than all the others! He knew exactly what was wrong and gave me the absolute truth that I needed a new unit instead of spending hundreds of dollars in repairs...which I already spent with other repairmen to no avail. I will call Hi-Tech for all my appliance repairs in the future!

Hi-tech was recommended to me by a co-worker to explore purchasing a gas fireplace. From beginning to end, this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Missed scheduling, salesperson lied about scheduling appointments, management was uninterested, and failed to return phone calls.

Went in to talk about refrigerators, went to show him the model I'm interested in and basically told me he couldn't help me. Said there was a backlog until March. I totally understand that there is a crunch right now and a long wait, but at least other shops I went to would explain the different models and checked their supply chain. The competing shops could get me fridges in January. So either this place doesn't have great suppliers or he just didn't want my business. Eric O. came to my house in Boulder to figure out an issue I was having with an old gas Wolf stove/oven. Eric was super upbeat and clearly has a great deal of expertise. Other appliance companies I contacted said they could not service an old Wolf product. Eric educated me about my stove/oven and discussed my options with me. I have used these folks for 10 years for both appliance purchase and repair. They HAD been good but my most recent service call was a disaster. When Eric came to look at the broken refrigerator, I told him what part was at fault and gave him the manufacturer part number. He confirmed the diagnosis and said he'd get the part ordered and that when it came in someone would call to schedule his return for the repair. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing so I called back and was told someone would get back to me. Nothing. Next day I called again, again I was told someone would get back to me.

Eric Orth was the Hi-Tech Applicance techincian that serviced 5 of our appliances today. I had saved all of the minor issues up but when the Meile dishwasher stopped working, that was my final straw and prompted my call. Eric was prompt, kind, very knowledgeable and was able to make minor adjustments to repair 3 of the appliances ( 2 Meile Dishwashers and 1 Wolf cooktop) and identified the problems with our 2 Dacor wall ovens and ordred the parts to for repair at a later appointment. Been using Hi-Tech for several years: fireplace, fridge and dishwasher servicing. Not a single complaint. I really am surprised at the negative reviews here, because I only hear positive things from friends and neighbors that use them. Today I had Peter out for our dishwasher and Shane for our fireplace. Both totally enjoyable to have in the home, both know their stuff. And neither was looking for ways for me to spend my money. Upon purchase, I had a great experience with Hi Tech. I found the owner be knowledgeable and helpful with my questions. I purchased a speed queen washer and dryer. The washer has been fine but the dryer from day 1 would leave black stains on my husbands white collared shirts. We contacted hi tech and initially they said we would have to call someone else for service since we live in denver and are out of their service area. I called Hi-Tech appliance after reading a recommendation on Nextdoor. We used to have someone in the family who could fix things, but are now in a position to need to hire someone, and I was happy to have a recommendation. They came out to my house to fix my dryer (and they did do a good job on it for a reasonable price).
