Old World Cabinets are designed to mimic the old world look of the English and European manor houses which were almost always added to in succeeding generations. Builders get the best deal on cabinets, right? They buy a lot of cabinets so they must get good deals from purchasing in bulk, right? Wrong! Learn how most builders get their cabinetry done and how terrible the cabinets are in general. Your reputation, good or bad, would be easy to learn so you better make the best cabinets possible and give good service and good product.
Not gonna sell you anything that isn't a good value and I'll tell you why. Not because I am a good person, bu because I am good to myself. And if I treat you right and the cabinets last a long time you will tell people. You will also tell people if I do a bad job so I won't use risky materials or processes.
Everyone has looked at the Ikea cabinet line at some point if they were interested in a kitchen remodel. IKEA cabinets are a bargain, but they get the price that low using cheap particle board, substandard construction methods, and selling un-assembled. They do have a place though and in Europe where they came from it is the custom for homes to be sold without kitchen cabinets so the cabinets need to be cheap, modular, and portable.
Old world style replicates cabinetry in Europe on the old estates. Rich people weren't always rich with cash, so their kitchens grew as they could afford to pay for the work. Uneven heights and styles, staggered depths, and more than a little distressing as some of the cabinets were a century older than the latest additions.

So this isn't a typical retail store where you get quick service and walk out with what you want. The guy is going to be working when you walk into the place and you are expected to know what you want if. But, seems like he makes everything there, knows what he is doing, and if you are looking for decent quality bath vanities this is the place to come to. The prices are reasonable, took him four days to assemble a vanity for me out of some of the pre made parts he stocks. He doesn't install or finish the cheap cabinets but he does on the more expensive work. Nice alternative to the big box store

This man did a design for me that I am quite pleased with. He was patient and listened to what I wanted, something I didn't find in the other shops that quoted my job. I am not yet ready to purchase but I was made to feel comfortable with the price and the process so will be back to revisit this review once the job is done.

Just recieved a chicken feeder and couldn't be happier! It's exactly what I needed to keep rodents and wild birds from eating my chicken feed. The design and quality are excellent and when I had a question, they were quick to respond. Highly recommend!

I was surprised to find out that this company builds everything in house instead of selling Chinese made cabinets. The quality was excellent, we were kept informed all along the way, and there were no surprises. We will be using them again.

Owner has amongst the worst customer service I've experienced. Simply put his products did not work as advertised, and he was rather quick to jump to foul language and implications of our stupidity when presented with the issues we're having. Utter waste of money and time.

I don't usually take the time to write reviews but I wanted to share our experience. With so many options out there it is overwhelming deciding what company to go with. We had a small project, a kitchen and countertop in a 500sqft cabin, and we like that Al offers the design and installation of both cabinets and countertops. We could not be happier that we decided to go with The Carpenter Shop for our project. The first time I called Al he was able to get us in the next day to discuss the design and pricing. He wasn't pushy at all, he took the time to go over everything with us and offer us advice

I worked with a custom cabinet maker in my youth, so I know quality construction and design when I see it. I came to Al with a kitchen design already in place, but he helped me make it even better with updated design and technology. I wanted lots of tray drawers instead of lower cabinets you have to reach back into to get that pan or dish you hardly ever use and his designs easy accommodated this. I loved his use of varying cabinet heights and depths to accent his use of crown mold at the top and getting rid of that ugly useless soffet. My kitchen has only an 8' ceiling, so it really helped to
