Most auto manufacturers now have at least one model (some have multiple models) that contain computer chips in the key known as transponders. You may have been told that only the dealer can make transponder keys, this is not the case. The dealer requires you to have the car towed to them, so the key can be programmed into the cars computer.

Had a hard time finding someone in town that I could physically to go to to get my key laser-engraved, until I found this place. The gentleman who helped me (and I apologize for not getting his name) was friendly, direct, and honest, and gave me an incredibly reasonable price for the services provided. Corey B was a great help. I needed a key made for a specialty piece of equipment. I tried the "big box stores" and none were helpful. Even though my exact key was not available, Sandfly Locksmith was able to use their knowledge of the industry to find a solution and custom make me a key. They were able to save me time and save my company money.

Derek was extremely efficient, responsive and went above and beyond to help me out to re-key my new home. He even provided me with education on the European style locks that two of my doors have. He made sure I knew how they worked if I wanted to pop out the tumbler to bring them in if I needed to re-key them for any reason. I'm very thankful that the first company I called never responded! I'll never call any other company for locksmith service. Thank you Derek!
