I've made a number of good decisions in my life, but in the top three is hiring Margurite Decker to design, implement, oversee, and execute the landscaping on my grandparents' home. I am not a man who is prone to unwarranted compliments, but I promise you, this is in the top three best decisions I have ever made.
First, there's the fact that there isn't another equally talented landscape architect in southeast Michigan that I am aware of. I am very confident that Margurite's talent level exceeds any other designer's talent and taste levels by orders of magnitude.

Margurite was hired to draw up plans for some gardens on my property, but, after paying for the plans, I did not end up going forward with her as the gardener. I found working with her to be unpleasant and difficult, in part, due to her gratuitous peppery comments degrading Americans or American habits in contrast to Europeans. In addition, she seemed little concerned with drafting a garden plan that included items that I wanted to have planted, rather than creating a design of her own vision and dimension.
