After seeing Devon Moving in action when they helped a friend of mine move I knew I wanted to hire them for our upcoming move. Their team is quick, efficient and careful.
When it came to communication and professionalism, they were awful. They made an already stressful event much more so.
First, they said they could help us on the date we requested, a Saturday Then we confirmed whether they had the size truck we needed (we were moving items from a 2 bedroom apartment and a small storage unit)they said they couldn't. Then they said either Friday or Saturday. We had to chase them down to confirm

I called into get a quote and the guy that answered was so rude. Didn't even ask what services I was looking for. After leading the conversation due to his poor customer service skills he asked which day I needed to move, I told him and he just answered "no" and hung up. Safe to say I will not be recommending/using them.

Everything went so smoothly with our move! Frank is great at communicating. A few days before the move he came by to check what we're moving to ensure we got the right size truck. The movers arrived 15 minutes early, went over everything with us, and they started moving us right away. These guys are fast and very efficient. Everything was moved in perfect condition. I found the pricing to be very reasonable. Highly recommend!

We used Devon Moving to move from Chicago to Denver. Frank, the owner came to our house twice to make sure that all our furniture and boxes fit in a truck he was planning to use. One day before the move 3 guys packed our furniture in less than 2 hours. Day of the move, showed up on time. We asked Frank to deliver our furniture to Denver on Saturday morning. 8 am on Saturday Frank called and said that he will be at our place at 9am. He arrived ten to 9am. Nothing is broken. Price is very reasonable. Thank you, Frank!

Very reasonable pricing. The most reasonable over all moving companies I've used in the past. We did have to ask them to take certain items instead of us moving. They were hesitant to take picture etc. which we ended up moving ourselves. We also had to be sure to ask for them to take furniture in different parts of the house and not just dump in our living room. But overall for the price I highly recommend them. They were also on time and friendly.

They also called me one week prior to the move as well as the morning of the move to confirm all the details.

My fiancé and I had the best experience with Devon moving company. They were timely, extremely quick and above all some of the nicest men to work with! It was not an easy move at all, we came from a high rise unit in Chicago to a 4th floor walk up also in Chicago. The guys did not stop hauling things up and down for about 2 hours straight. I highly recommend them and if you have a chance to ask for Juan! Nothing but great things to say about our move. Thanks again!!

This is my second or third move with them. They were extremely efficient and professional. I have used several moving companies in Chicago. Devon moving is reasonably priced, straightforward, and have tremendous customer service.
This time around they quoted me 2 guys at $80 per hour with a one time $80 travel fee. 2 hour minimum. I had estimated about 3 hours to move a one bedroom apartment from Wicker Park to Oak Park. They arrived promptly at 9am, loaded the truck up in an hour, and was done unloading everything at final destination by 11.30am. Woooooo!!!!!

We could not have been happier yesterday when Devon Moving helped us with the final step of our move from Florida to Chicago. Everyone involved at this company seems to inherently get how important it is to not only work hard (which they certainly do), but to maintain an attitude toward keeping customer stress-levels as low as possible.

My Devon moving team lead by Henry kicked butt yesterday in super cold temperatures. Henry had attention to detail and wrapped almost all my furniture to protect from snow that had fallen the night before. Fast, detailed, kind and most of all made my stressful move painless. Alex was great about communication during planning and confirmation.
