Services
I've been working with wood since I was a kid under the guidance of my father who was a jack of all trades and built boats, remodeled our home and more. Upon his passing, I have inherited his tools and since the early 90's have begun to develop woodworking skills as a hobby. I've built many indoor pieces, remodeled our homes and more.
Hand built using Carolina Cypress planed to a working thickness and assembled with lifetime fasteners to create elegant durable pieces you can be proud to display and use. The Classic Settee features a low profile and curves on the backs and seat bottom for those who wish to recline. The table and stash deck are attached to the unit making a very stable and durable unit which can be modified to support an umbrella.
A: That is your preference! Cypress is a very dependable material for outdoor use. There is no need to stain or paint the wood since it comes from a swamp. But if you do choose to finish it with a paint or stain, it will handle it just fine. The only thing that may be a draw-back is - based on the product you choose to use, you my have to update your finish annually.
Find a smooth and level surface for your furniture where all four legs are flat against the bottom to prevent a twisting effect on the frame which could stress the fasteners and work them loose. If you choose to place your pieces in direct contact with soil it would help to seal the bottom of each leg to prevent absorption into the capillaries of the wood.
These customers were kind enough to take time to submit a brief testimonial of how they felt after ordering and receiving their new pieces. Thank you all for that! I purchased 4 chairs almost 5 years ago from Eddie and the still look like new. One chair had a developed some minor cracks after 4 years.
