Abby and Frank Santos started No Ka Oi Plants on Kauai in 1977. They were lucky enough to be doing what they loved - providing and maintaining natural beauty for commercial and resort customers - and are still doing that today. Today, No Ka Oi Landscape Services employs more than 60 team members committed to the same things that drew Frank and Abby to the industry all those years ago.
A beautifully maintained landscape does more than just look good. OMG Awesome, Your crew did a great job landscaping our berm in our backyard @ Pili Mai !! with new plants, trees and color it now looks like Paradise in Kauai. Worst experience ever. Went for an interview with Owner Abby Santos. She came in to the conference room swearing and saying she's having a bad day. I told her everything will get better. She than said no it ain't. She didn't interview me, instead she asked if she knows me or if we met before, I was confused. I said, " no I'm here for the landscaping job interview " than asked if I was vaccinated. I told her no. Than she told me interview was over. Go home. As I walked to my vehicle she continued to say with Attitude, "Think about your community, BRAH!"

One of my very best gal friends' birthday was coming up, and I wanted to give her a "living gift", one that would be admired and appreciated for many many years to come. She didn't have a Puakenikeni... My husband and I went to the nursery in Hanapepe, which at this time is open by appointment only... but easy to do, with only a phone call.... We were shown several sizes /prices and allowed to walk thru the many beautiful plants, all healthy, watered, vigorous. It was hard to choose, so many to decide from. I LOVE this nursery. Its the healthiest one on Kauai. I sincerely understand, why its called

No Ka Noise. Noisy, noisy, noisy. Old broken down equipment with no mufflers? These guys used to be the best, but rather than do the job right, they are just cut cut cutting things with noisy saws, then blowing blowing blowing with old noisy blowers. Yes, those things should be outlawed. Their people just don't care. Their people have ear protection. I'm trying to nap on a warm afternoon.....Suddenly, without warning, CCCRRRRRSSSSSSHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Oh, must have been a couple little leaves on the concrete driveway. Bad Bad Bad.........Next time I'm going to Maui...........
