We worked with Eco Minded Solutions for the complete design and build of our home. We had an old cottage style house that we built into a truly custom mid-mod home that we are now very happy with and really enjoying. The old part of the house had to be torn down, the foundation fortified and footprint expanded as we added our second story master suite with an outdoor space. Can't stay enough about these guys. Michael Turner is our project lead and he is one of the most if not the most professional service provider we have ever worked with. He is incredibly knowledgeable about construction, and landscape design. Mike has also been incredibly patient with us as we worked through our design. We did our landscaping with Ecominded , Michael was on top things all time, he made sure supplies & construction material arrive on time despite pandemic shortages, he definitely went the extra mile and treated our project as his own personal. I am thrilled with how my yard turned out. Ecominded Solutions turned my vision into reality and I honestly couldn’t be happier. From the beginning Todd, the designer, was super responsive and helpful. He listened to everything I wanted and continued to make changes to the plans until they were perfect. We bought a house in Otay Ranch two years ago and the landscaping was completely unfinished. All of the bathrooms in the home were poorly maintained and were in desperate need of an upgrade. With how crazy the real estate market is right now, we wanted to explore the option of building a custom home. Eco Minded Solutions designed and completed a remodel of our side yard. It had been a mess of bark chips and an old garden shed. They helped us create a great park-like atmosphere along our house with a lighted flagstone path. Eco Minded Solutions did a great job and were very responsive to our input. We had Eco Minded design and build our backyard paradise back in 2017 and we loved it. So, in 2019 when we started thinking of our kitchen and fireplace remodel, we reached out to them to see what they could come up with. We worked with Sarah on the design and she was wonderful. All of the items on our wishlist and more were included in the design and to borrow a term from TV, our home now sparks joy everyday.
We love how everything turned out and that they were able to work around the challenges of COVID-19 with regards to shipping times, supply shortages, etc.

Our project was supposed to be over the course of 4 weeks and it lasted more than 15 weeks. We've had issues in all portions of the work, from the design to the execution of the work. We don't recommend any small projects with them, stay away at all costs.

I'm a little late in writing this review however it goes without saying that we were very happy with our results with the Eco Minded Solutions team. Our designer, Gustavo, worked with us to bring our ideas to life and it just so happens that he worked on the same projects that drew us to them in the first place.
We had a few conditions that had to be met. A budget, a well thought out drainage system, and several requirements from our association. They exceeded our expectations on all of them.
1) Design was exactly what we wanted.
2) They finished on time (4 weeks from beginning to end)

So as time passes and and all the flaws in my landscaping design become apparent, I have buyers remorse. I can't say I'd recommend this company anymore.
1. Ineffective yard drainage. When I was going through the design process with EMS, I remember expressing that my number one concern was drainage. We had an unfinished yard on a new construction home and water was pooling everywhere. They installed drains, true, but as time passes I'm learning that all the drain heads aren't connected the way they were laid out in my design. It becomes a detective game with a hose trying

Gustavo, the landscape architect, met with us several times and listened to our wishes and designed a modern courtyard that's exactly what we wanted and more. He was extremely thorough, incorporating hardscape, planting, BBQ, firepit, lighting and sail shade into a spectacular hangout space. Dave Milton project managed the build and kept the project on time and on budget and handled additional requirements timely and cost effectively. Would highly recommend this team!!!

My yard looks fabulous! EcoSystem Minded just completed a major landscaping project at my new home, on 2/3 acre. This included 3 acid washed patios, RV parking, custom gas barbeque, retractable pergola, DG paths, lots of trees, lighting--too many beautiful features to list. I am thrilled and the project experience was great. Mike Leggett managed the entire project and he and my foreman, Tony, made excellent recommendations along the way. I had a very firm $100k budget, which they were very mindful of and helped me make tradeoffs that did not compromise the beautiful outcome. I highly recommend
