Services
Established in 1985, Belstar, Inc., is a construction cost/project management company providing comprehensive services relating to the design, pre-construction, procurement, construction, and post-construction phases of building and infrastructure development.
Belstar provides cost engineering and construction management services for a variety of large project assignments, including new construction and improvement projects for both facilities and infrastructure development. Belstar's involvement throughout the design and construction process results in highly accurate cost estimates and schedules, as well as a minimum of change orders.
Belstar is pleased to announce that several Belstar clients have accepted our Mentor Protg proposal to work with a smaller firm know as Belstar Cost Estimating, LLC (BCE). BCE will be under the ownership and direction of Ms. Margaret Lucas, who brings over thirty years of business management skills to this new small business, Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) organization.
At Belstar, the first step to accurate cost engineering is to obtain the knowledge of the detailed requirements of a particular project. Belstar then links this knowledge to an understanding of the means and methods a contractor would use to build the project.
At Belstar, the initial critical path method (CPM) review will involve: 1) The study of the contractor's earning/working schedule to understand their thought process for constructing the project; and, 2) The comparison of the working/earning schedule against the schedule requirements. This review will verify that the schedule's diagrams, bar charts, and schedule reports meet the required standards.
