Beginning in 1996 many vehicles came equipped with a transponder-based electronic anti-theft system. These systems have greatly reduced vehicle thefts, but have also increased the cost of keys and key replacement. The original transponder system used by Toyota and Lexus was designed so that programming could only be done with a working "Master Key."
GM was the first auto company to offer an electronic anti-theft system as standard equipment. The VATS system was introduced in 1986 to help prevent thefts of Corvettes. It soon became standard equipment on all Cadillacs. We beat the dealer by half on Smart keys and Proximity keys! - Cars that have a push-button start use what is known as a "Smart Key" or a "Proximity Key" these are often called "Prox Keys."
We can provide you with a new prox key, programed to your car, complete with an "Emergency Key" usually for less than half of what the dealership charges. Call for a free quote! This is to reduce the possibility of injury if you are involved in a collision.

Services
AutoLock Solutions serving the Pensacola, FL and Gulf Breeze, FL areas, offers a full line of automotive locksmith services, ranging from duplicate keys to Lexus / Toyota computer "re-flashing.". We can generate new keys if all the keys have been lost for traditional locks systems, high-security "laser-cut" keys, and even the "Tibbe" system used on some Jaguars and the Ford Transit Connect.
Beginning in 1996 many vehicles came equipped with a transponder-based electronic anti-theft system. These systems have greatly reduced vehicle thefts, but have also increased the cost of keys and key replacement. A transponder is a tiny radio-frequency computer chip embedded in the head of the key.
Many new vehicles use a key that has a remote built into the head of the key. Unfortunately, many of these keys break in normal usage or when accidently dropped. When this happens, most car dealers will try to sell you a completely new key, often for several hundred dollars. The better solution is to just replace the key housing or "shell" and re-use the existing electronics.
GM was the first auto company to offer an electronic anti-theft system as standard equipment. The VATS system was introduced in 1986 to help prevent thefts of Corvettes. It soon became standard equipment on all Cadillacs, Camaros, Firebirds, and many other GM vehicles. The system was used exclusively by GM from 1986 until 2003, when it was phased out in favor of transponder keys.
The original transponder system used by Toyota and Lexus was designed so that programming could only be done with a working "Master Key." If no working "Master Keys" was available, or if the only key available was a "Valet Key, " the computer in the car was supposed to be replaced with a new one at a cost of several thousand dollars.

Rude. Called to get a key made for my car. The guy hung up while I was still talking. I'm surprised you're in business. Also your skill is not more complicated than the key encoder (that can be purchased quite easily) you're using. So the high and mighty attitude I felt, go ahead deflate on that brother. You ain't gonna get to far that with attitude.

Auto Solutions came to the rescue for my sailor who had some car trouble. He helped diagnose the issue over the phone and agreed to travel to the Naval Base to help out!
Mr. Steve was professional and personable. He explained the options my sailor had to correct the issue in detail. He made sure that we knew the positives and negatives of either option as the vehicle had a design flaw from factory.
He got my sailor up and running relatively quick and very well priced, we would have paid more for a tow and inspection cost at the dealer than the actual repair cost! What a great company to know

Steve was great, he squeezed me in which he didn't have to. He was also extremely knowledgeable and was happy to talk even while working on both cars. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes with a great conversation the whole time.
Very decent price too, had my key in stock so no waiting whatsoever.
If you need a key service for your car definitely give him a call. You won't regret it.

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Value
Steve was great. He responded quickly to emails and text messages. He handled multiple customers at once with ease and professionalism. His price for me was cheaper than any others I called. He was knowledgeable about his profession. Next key we need made or fixed or if ever we get locked out we will be calling him.

Steve found a spot for me in his schedule almost the same day as I called, he was very friendly and super informative as to what the issues were with my vehicle. He knew exactly what he was doing and left me feeling confident about the problem the entire time. And on top of that the price he charged me was more than reasonable for the work and time he put in. I would highly recommend him to anyone!
