Colonial Fence had its beginning in 1974 in Millis, MA, and since that time has gone through many changes but - our one goal to build truly superior wood fence products has never changed. In the beginning we purchased fencing material from large wholesale distributors, each with different manufacturing standards.

These guys were a class act. I had been soliciting bids on a small fence job (60' white vinyl picket) from several local fencing firms. Found Colonial originally on Angies list and they quoted sight unseen (which I initially didn't like). Though the appearance of Colonial Fence is quite appealing the operations of the company is extremely hostile and unprofessional. I've thought about posting for a few years but an incident involving the owner's son (we'll call Jr.) this past October 2017, was so disturbing I thought I should share it.
About seven years ago I had a fence installed for approx $11,000 which enclosed my backyard. During the install sod was being laid in the same area by a landscaper. Jr at Yankee Fence, who was our rep, was told that that the landscaper will need access with a forklift on that

They did an awesome job on the white vinyl picket fence at our house. And the price was awesome! I had quoted many other fence places. We had the fences installed off the back corners of our house to the property line and it was on a hill. I was nervous it would come out looking odd but was SO happy with the outcome. We also were in a rocky part of town and I felt so bad for the worker who spent a lot of time pulling them out but he was so nice about it. A few months ago I had about 300 feet of vinyl fence installed by Colonial. I just had another 200 feet put in. This time I had to be on vacation while they worked, but I wasn't worried. Ken Sr, who runs the show, had come by and walked the border of my property with me. He understood what I wanted. He also made good suggestions. The route of the fence was staked out, including the 8 foot tall part. Short story, I got back from vacation and it was perfect.
Colonial uses a high quality vinyl that looks strong, solid, and attractive. I couldn't be happier.

Wow, what a rude guy we just dealt with here. Went in to shop for a mailbox post. Wandered around inside for about 5 minutes before the guy came over to the counter (he could see us the whole time and the place had no other customers). My wife asked about the difference between two different types of vinyl posts could be made of, and the guy shot back "They're just two different products. That's it." and glared at us. Sorry bub for wondering whether they have different wear properties, etc. Next we asked if a flower box could be added. "Sure." Okay.......do they

I quoted out 5 different fence companies in the area for a large fence - chain link & vinyl. Prices ranged from $7,000 - $13,000. This company was at the lower end and seemed very professional. The fence came out beautiful, their timeline was accurate, and the quality of the product very good. I would definitely recommend them.

I've been having a lot of work done on my home and Colonial Fence are the only people I've hired that have not disappointed me. Because I work from home I'm able to get a lot of estimates and Colonial blew the competition away with their prices. Definitely the lowest estimate by half. Of course I also wanted a high quality vinyl fence and I got that. The guys who installed the fence were friendly, capable, and reliable. They also did extras that I wasn't expecting. As a business owner myself, my expectations are very high. It's rare that someone can meet my expectations
