I called them to give me an estimate on taking down a dead tree. They came the same day, gave a very reasonable estimate and returned to complete the job the next day. They offered a discount for cash payment and thoroughly cleaned up after they were finished. I will definitely be using them again in the future!!

Have used this company a handful of times for wood delivery after recommendation by a neighbor. The first two seasons were great, quality wood delivered and easy to work with. Even scheduled me an "emergency delivery" to ensure I was set before a large snowstorm.
Last winter was a struggle to get someone to come out to the house, was told someone would call me back to make an appointment, but took several return phone calls by me to make that happen. Delivery man said it's best to have wood delivered in the summer, as they are not so busy.

Have been waiting weeks (actually almost a month) to get an estimate from them. Numerous calls. Starting to sound like a runaround. Have used them in the past with fine results but this very long delay is making me doubtful about whether they will, finally, get my job done in a competent timely manner

Cons: Slow to respond, consistently failed to fulfill promises & contract details. Conveniently "forgot" several times promises that they had made over email. Extremely poor communication and I was constantly forced to call and email to make sure anything got done (e.g., no communication when they weren't going to make it; 3 months of radio silence on a follow-up issue, etc.). Left the job half finished a couple of times. Over promised on a number of issues. Michael Buchanan came to my house for both an assessment, and his recommendations and an estimate. I found him to be both fair and honest. Further, he had the necessary work completed over a week early and at a very reasonable price. I would have given this four stars had the "foreman" that came to my house to do the work not been totally rude. Overall, I would use again, and recommend.

I called several tree services right after the storm that devastated parts of Bethesda, as a large tree had collapsed in one of my properties. Kuhn's was the only company that actually came through with dispatching an arborist immediately. Their price was well below the other companies in the area quoted us. The work was impeccable. Not only they shredded every inch of the damaged area, but they were very careful to saw the tree into smaller pieces that were left behind for firewood. Truly an excellent job for a very reasonable price.

Kuhn's (4 workers) took down a huge oak tree, trimmed up 2 other large trees, and removed multiple large shrubs. They arrived on time, worked 7 straight hours, with great team work, efficiency, and skill. Enough English was spoken to understand directions and ask good questions. Great value as well. We are 100% satisfied and will call them again for other jobs without hesitation.
