ATARA Mechanical responded to my request for a quote right away. They charge $50 to assess what the situation is. So I agreed. They went up to my lake house, figured out the problem. My heater wasn't working, and Omar diagnosed the issue and repaired it. Normally you get the assessment charge credited to your final bill, they charged it separately. So I paid $50, plus the $125 labor fee. That wasn't something i was expecting. So, when you call them, ask them if that charge comes separately.

If I could give more stars, I would! Erik (tech) was exceptional. He went above and beyond trying to figure out and resolve our AC issue. I am assuming he spent more time than he planned and most likely billed for. Further, I have yet to EVER meet anyone as friendly and attentive as he was in the home service industry (construction, repairs...). I would hire him again and would happily hire him to work for my company if he ever decides on a career change!

It was a great choice and experience to have a knowledgeable technician. Omar showed up and got right to work. diagnosed the problem on my ac right away. Replaced my compressor and got my family and I back the comfort of conditioned air. Very quick and efficient. I recommend this company to any one who needs their air conditioning repaired. If your looking for an honest company this will be the people to call. They were extremely nice, honest and knew what they were doing! Their prices are extremely reasonable and they won't try to push you to replace anything if it's not needed. They even booked me ASAP during the heatwave. Will definitely recommend them to everyone!

Thanks very much to Omar & Brittany at Atara Mechanical. I had never used the message response system through Yelp before. Omar was the first one to respond-- and I get it. This is the "high" season for HVAC, we are thankful for the fast response!!. From the initial communication to finished job, it was about 23 hours. Fast!!

Needed repairs done on my mini split. Great communication from Brittany let me know what to expect and she even called me before their guys showed up. Omar provided outstanding service. If you're looking for help with your furnace, look no further than Atara. I inquired on Yelp when he could come out to take a look at a strange noise coming from my furnace in the attic, and he was able to come out the same day with no up front cost. He arrived within the time window stated, and I got a courtesy call 30 min prior to his arrival. While here, he wore covers on his boots, gloves, and a face mask. It’s been years since my house has had working AC. We’ve had two different people come in and tell us that we needed a whole new unit, and quoted us up to $9k for it. We just kind of figured until something amazing happened to us financially we’d have to deal with hot summers.
Omar came by to quote a new unit for us, and when I asked him if he could tell me what was wrong with our current unit that made us need a replacement, he went out and looked for the problem instead of just giving us the “it’s broken, you need a new one” response, and he actually found the problem! Recommended by a friend. Taking an appointment was seamless with Brittany. She texts when the truck is close to the address. Omar and his assistant were punctual, organized, efficient, and effective. And masked and respected the necessary distancing. Omar is experienced and personable. He performed a clear step by step diagnosis, he provided all the necessary explanations so I can understand the issues. He suggested options so I could decide. Warranties were clearly explained. The invoice is clearly itemized with photos showing the work done and the components replaced. Highly recommended!

Poor encounter with the owner. Disliked the fact that Omar was pressuring me as the customer to go with his company with a "special deal" the end of the day without the ability to interview other competitors and to see who would work well with our schedule/price point. Not sure why he wouldn't support the fact that the customer has the right to shop around. Would not recommend due to his poor customer service.

I made the right decision having Omar and Erik from Atara Mechanical come out and perform maintenance on my AC. They showed up on time and ready to perform the task on hand. Omar took the time to explain the system and the checks he was performing while making sure my A/C was functioning at full capacity. They just finished installing our new heating & a/c unit as well as fixing our rooftop swamp cooler. We were lucky enough that Omar was able to come out the same day I called. Omar & his assistant were friendly, polite, & punctual. It's nice we someone shows up when they say they will. They were thorough with their work, cleaning up after, & assisting me with learning my new thermostat as well as registering my new unit to activate the warranty before they left.

I would highly recommend Atara, we had a new furnace and air conditioner installed by Mario and team in January. The service was fast and of course friendly. The furnace ran great all winter, but the biggest win for us was to see how efficient the new a/c unit is and how much money we’re saving! Received my July electric bill, you know for the hottest July on record, and we used less energy than last year when we ran a swamp cooler. We’d always found the swamp cooler used half as much energy to run than our old a/c unit. Thanks Atara!
