Barbara Berntsen did what more people should do - she actually listened to her mother's advice. She followed her heart and created her own her own company. In the summer of 1993 she conceived her own business and made her dream a reality. She named her company Blue Dolfin Interiors after the hand painted dolphin that identifies her cabin, built a century ago as a crabber's cottage on the remote side of Commencement Bay.

This woman does it all, from rustic to modern art, from working with a tight budget to a wide open wallet. I manage a few properties that Blue Dolfin has been contracted to redesign, and has added her interior magic to, and she has always delivered incredible, authentic and enjoyable work. Her work is good, and her personality is a blast. Would highly recommend!!!

I hired Barb to remodel my bathroom. The job started out great, with Barb promising she could do all these fantastic detailed finishes. However by the end of the job, she didn't do many of those things, never communicated that they couldn't be done or why, and then got mad when I asked for a discount for work not completed. Its been over a month since everything has been finished and she still hasn't sent out a plumber to fix loose fixtures. I shouldn't have paid her until all detailed work was complete. I
