Before we started, our founders had been working in moving and storage industry and had an opportunity to witness that a lot of San Diego movers just did not care about customers and provided low-quality service at an extremely high price. So, they saw the opportunity to make the difference. When we began, we started small, just two guys, an old moving truck and an ambitious plan to become the best moving company that people would trust.
As a general rule, any residential or commercial moving service with traveling distance of 100 or fewer miles between origin address and a destination address is considered to be a local move. Any local moving service is billed hourly at the set hourly rate, which will depend on the number of movers in the team and the number of trucks that we will be using for transportation of your goods.
Any move with a distance of over 100 miles between origin and destination is considered to be a long distance move. Any long distance moving service is billed based on the weight of your shipment and traveling distance. Dominant Moving Company provides long distance relocation only within California.
Whether you are looking to store your personal possessions or items that belong to your business, we are ready to meet all your storage needs. No need to spend your time finding a storage, traveling to sign paperwork, getting a key, and being present during unloading to storage and picking up from storage.

Dominant Moving did an outstanding job from start to finish. The whole process was very simple, from estimate to move.
our two movers hustled, we're careful and took really great care of our belonging. I was notified constantly of upcoming events and where the truck was in transit. We moved a household from San Diego to Northern California and it was flawless!
if you wasn't really good service and save some $$, Dominant can't be beat! I highly recommend them!

Used Dominant Moving for a local move first week of September. Dont use them as they damaged 3 pieces of brand new furniture. They claim they insure any damaged pieces but I can not get hold of anyone after numerous calls and an email to get a claim going. The lead mover acknowledged the damage, took pics but nothing. This company is completely avoiding me to to rectify the situation. Crewof 2 showed up late due to traffic. We do have 3 flights of stairs and one of the movers was wearing slip-ons (Nike slippers) which should have been my first sign that this wasn't going to go well! I warned

I have used these guys on 4 occasions. Three of them were my personal moves (from storage to a home, then from a home back to storage and finally from storage to a home again...don't ask...its a very long story) and one was for a friends move. I keep coming back to them and I will continue to recommend them to anyone who asks for a moving referral. They were very reasonable price wish. I've never used a moving service so I was a bit nervous preparing for their arrival. However, once Javier and Brandon arrived, the process was so SMOOTH! They both did an excellent job moving every piece of furniture with ZERO issues! Even the 2-3 pieces that are considerably large and heavy....and on top of that, they were very kind and considerate in dealing with my VERY CURIOUS 6yo son. Dominant has moved me twice and both times it was excellent service. Their rates are the best I have found. I requested quotes from 5+ companies, and they were the best. We specifically needed help moving heavy furniture from a two story townhome to a two story home and they tackled the challenge with ease. We did most of the packing ourselves beforehand but they handled all of our items with care wether they packed them or not. The movers were friendly and made the moving experience as a whole much less stressful. They were worth every penny.

The move itself went mostly well which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of one. The reason I rate 2 stars is because the movers broke a decorative mirror in the process (it's fine accidents happen) but the rep said he will take a picture of it and the manager would get back to me to talk about the replacement. I never received contact. I reached out by email and they replied saying to send a picture, I told them the movers took the picture and the mirror. Never got a response. Terrible business practice so now I paid almost $800 for a move and lost out on a $120 decorative mirror.

I am not sure where all the positive reviews are coming from for this company. My experience was the complete opposite of the glowing reviews that have been provided by others. We requested a crew of three but only two men showed up. The job required three men, not two. It took them so long that my family started moving items from the driveway into the garage at the new house because it was 6:30 pm at night. They damaged property while moving furniture. It was indicated on the invoice for an insurance claim as there was no way they could deny damaging it. We had to chase the owner Roman for two

I hired Dominant Moving Company for a small local move of 1 bedroom place from Mira Mesa, San Diego to North Park. Movers did a great job moving all my items in just under 4 hours. The price I paid was very reasonable and did not exceed the amount I expected to pay. They protected all the furniture and wrapped mattress with plastic bag, disassembled a queen size bed and put it back together at the new place. Also they provided Wardrobe Boxes for FREE.

Their service was EXCELLENT from the beginning to the end! Roman was quick to respond to our calls even on weekend. He sent us 3 movers with a big truck with pads and wraps. Very professional! All of them worked hard and efficiently with awesome attitude so we could finish earlier than we were expecting.

Our 3-man crew was terrific! Came a few minutes late, but worked hard and finished earlier than I thought. Everyone had a great attitude and was good at communicating. Nothing was damaged in the move. They did such an especially impressive job at wrapping our upholstered furniture!

I requested quotes from tons of places and this company communicated quickly, offered multiple rates depending on what we needed, and were super professional. Roman scheduled our move and was available for any questions we had and I was able to contact him multiple times before move day.
Our movers showed up with a big truck and ready to work attitudes. They were extremely professional and carefully wrapped up my late mother's items with extra care, which means a lot when you want your sentimental items protected. I actually rarely rarely make reviews but the customer service of this moving company was horrible and based off further reviews it's a common thing which would match poor moving services. I tried to schedule move twice and the 2nd time had a list of I'm glad I went with another moving company which was not only cheaper but provided way better customer service over phone and door to door and the movers far exceeded expectations unlike dominant moving company and so bad in fact to push me to write a review

I originally almost hired another moving company that just only have five star review on Yelp and were about 20 percent cheaper, but then I saw a Dominant Moving truck with a giant red logo on it They were moving my neighbor and I watched guys working for about half an hour from my balcony and was very impressed, they worked very efficiently and moved everything with care.
