After 26 moves around the world I can tell you that Movers by the Sea has been the best moving company we have ever used. My corporate career had me move to Mexico, Brazil, Singapore, Australia and all over the United States to name a few locations. After a little research, I decided to hire Movers by the Sea to move us from Leucadia to Carlsbad this month. From my first phone call with Elena, I knew they were good. After an entire half day of hunting for a company who might be willing to do a single item move involving a large couch and some narrow stairs in our townhome, I called this company on a Sunday with a last minute same day request. Johnny took my call late in the evening and had a great attitude from the get go. Excellent everything! When I called for a quote, Elena was very helpful and thorough. She was communicative and had great follow up via text, per my request.
On moving day I received an automated notification that my movers were en route as well as a direct call from my move team with details of their arrival time.
Upon arrival I was introduced to the whole crew, and each of the guys were just as great as the next.
Max, Ray, Derek and the entire crew were efficient, professional, accommodating, and fun to work with.
I had huge, expensive equipment to move which was not easy to fit through

After not being able to get my couch to fit into my apartment the owner John got annoyed and immediately demanded money. Telling me I was really getting a discount, Then left my couch sitting at the bottom of a staircase in my complex after I paid him.. Wish me luck on my day of moving after a just paid for movers. I hope you don’t have the same experience I just had. Use a different company. There was no point that anyone with a tape measure did any sort of adding up. So happy we decided to use Movers by the Sea for our move. The entire process from quote, to booking, to the move day was handled professionally and thoughtfully. For our move the team worked hard and were very thoughtful about protecting our home and our stuff. They padded the entire stair case and laid down padding for all the walkways. For every heavy/ bulky object they planned out the best approach to move it and did so carefully. I'd gladly work with them and highly recommend to others.

Johnny the owner called me totally unexpectedly to check and see if everything was OK after unpacking and moved in. Apologized again and took total responsibility and ownership for everything about the move. Things are going to happen; I think how he handled it shows class and pride of ownership. I'm satisfied and great job on handling things after the move.

Movers by the Sea was able to schedule me on a Sunday night to come the next day and move my grandmother's china hutch. It was very big and heavy, and has a lot of glass. Max and Chris were a great, professional team. They made a plan for getting it out of the house, wrapped it completely for moving, and protected the door ways and the other furniture in the house. They arrived on time and finished before the estimated time. They were courteous and friendly, and I will definitely call Movers by the Sea for my next moving job.

WOW! After having another moving company do our move, we discovered a few weeks later that some things weren't done quite right (for example, the power cords for our sectional sofa were not accessible, and "trapped" under the heavy sofa!). Tired of the headache with the other company, I contacted Movers by the Sea, hoping they'd be able to help with my weird situation.

Elena was very quick to respond, thorough and professional. Based off my previous bad mover experiences, I was sketched out about putting the 3 hr min down before services were provided BUT I'm glad I did. Uriel and Austin were great and completed everything I needed done in the 3 hrs. They're help was worth every penny! 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Johnny & crew stopped by my home to pick up an insanely heavy reclining couch as the first stop of a move for my daughter. They were like a precision drill team- quick and efficient. They were meticulous about wrapping the couch as well. The crew were polite and pleasant as a bonus. Johnny stepped in at a moment's notice after another moving company no-showed after keeping us waiting all day. He just whipped up a crew and got the job done. I can't say enough good things about this business and will definitely use and recommend them for future moving needs.

After the moving company I had originally hired no showed on me at 4:45pm on a Friday, I was desperate and reached out to Movers by the Sea on a whim. Johnny texted me back immediately and after I told him what happened, he FaceTimed me (while sitting at home with his kids) to get an idea of what I had to move and try to assemble a last minute crew. He was able to get a team to the very next morning at 8am and came with five lovely young Marines. The crew is very nice and professional, truck is clean and clearly well maintained. We've used Movers by the Sea for our last two moves and always have had a great experience. They wrapped and loaded everything extremely well and it took less time than originally estimated, which was awesome. I hope we don't move again any time soon but would definitely recommend them. I contacted Elena at Movers by the Sea to move an upright piano for me from Carlsbad to Temecula. The cost was reasonable, and the move was schedule within just a few days. On the morning of the move, John, Chris, and Michael showed up on time, they were friendly and professional, careful with the piano, and given the strength it took for them to move it, well worth the money spent! The piano arrived safe & sound just a little while later at its destination perfectly intact.

The best moving company we've ever used....and we have moved MANY times. The team (Derek, John, Conrad and Nick) are absolute professionals, very friendly and just the best of the best. They were expedient, yet so careful with loading and unloading our belongings. They disassembled and wrapped (and then reassembled) big furniture. The team brought tape, blankets and extra boxes which we got to use and were included of the price of the move.

We recently used Movers by the Sea and have nothing but positive things to say about our experience.
Zack, Derek, and Larry were incredibly friendly and efficient. They maintained reasonable distance and wore their masks appropriately as well as used hand sanitizer.
They had little to no issue with our larger furniture items, including wrapping, disassembly/reassembly and transportation, they were receptive to our requests, and nothing was damaged in the process.
