S. Barzin Architect is an interdisciplinary architecture and design firm founded by Shahin Barzin, AIA and is located in Jamestown, RI. SBA designs are noted for their elegance, craftsmanship and practicality. Design is expressed with the understanding that each project is unique in relationship to the clients' needs and the project's environment.
SBA covers a wide range of both residential and commercial projects. SBA is dedicated to exploring new building technologies and when possible implementing sustainable building systems into projects including geothermal, solar panels and novel concepts such as the use of straw bale for building envelope and insulation.
Since 2014, SBA has been the principal architectural consultant for Alex & Ani, a Rhode Island-based jewelry company. The firm has been responsible for designing A&A domestic and international stores as well as developing a line of display furniture and fixtures. SBA has also been the project architectural firm for the restoration of Belcourt Mansion in Newport since 2012.
