My interest in people precedes my interest in design. It's a subtle but important difference allowing me to create nourishing spaces that complement the unique lifestyle of each client. Thoughtfulness and intuition are key to my process. Rather than diving directly into space planning and sourcing, I first uncover the needs, preferences, aspirations and personality of each client.
Creating a thoughtfully designed space requires an equally thoughtful process. From high-level space planning, to choosing the right flooring, to selecting finishing touches, our design process is made up of multiple layers - and each one informs the next. With those answers in mind, we determine the best possible way to make each space functional, comfortable, and meet your unique needs.
Making sure the other 90% is completed with as little stress and headache for you is the real job. With more than two decades of project management experience across a variety of industries, my assistant, Sarah and I have instituted our own innovative business systems and best practices into the traditional interior design model.

We did a complete renovation of our kitchen. It was an extremely complicated job because we own the top level of a more than 100 year old mansion in Cap Hill, Denver. We could not have done the renovation without Mark Haynes. He brilliantly addressed the difficulties presented by our rooftop condo. Our kitchen was once the sore spot on our beautiful home.
