R&L Construction was founded in 2001 as a small family owned and operated business. Since then our crew has grown significantly, but we have not lost our customer focused and quality oriented approach to construction. R&L was founded in 2001 by Randall and Lisa Campbell, which answers the most commonly asked question, "what does the L stand for?".
We had our beginnings doing small residential and agricultural remodeling jobs. This all changed in 2003 when a large snow storm damaged several poultry houses around the valley, leading to a shortage of contractors to rebuild all of the houses as quickly as possible. We helped fill that shortage, and have been building quality poultry houses and other agricultural structures ever since.
After that initial influx of poultry houses due to the snow, business didn't drop off, so as our reputation continued to grow around the valley, so did the size of our crew. We also branched out into other types of agricultural construction as well as light commercial and residential construction.

Services
R&L has specialized in agricultural construction since 2001. It is here that we had our beginnings, and it continues to be the majority of the projects we complete every year. From poultry houses and litter storages to dairies and cattle housing facilities, or anything in between, R&L can build you a quality structure that you will be proud to own.
R&L Construction has it's own concrete crew that will be happy to help you with all of your concrete needs. They can pour footers, floors, and patios, as well as walls ranging from 1 foot to 20+ feet tall. Even if R&L Construction is not building your whole structure, we can still help you with the concrete.
R&L recently began doing residential construction by hiring Phil Smith, who has over 25 years of residential construction experience around the valley. Here are pictures of a few of the homes we have built since Phil joined us at R&L. If you are in the market for a custom home, or an addition to your existing home, please contact Phil at (540) 810-6150, or email him at Phil@rlincva.com.
If you're pouring your own foundation or wall, R&L also rents out their Symons concrete panels. They can also be stacked for other heights. Let us know the sizes you need and we will deliver the forms to your job with everything you need, including pins, ties, braces, stakes, whaler brackets and boards, and form oil.
R&L now has an in house NRCS certified engineer, Russ Driskill. Russ received his engineering degree from VMI in 1971. Since graduation Russ has worked as an engineer for both the military and the private sector. Even if you are not using R&L Construction to build your next structure, you can still use us for your structural engineering needs.
