Lantz Construction Company was founded under the name Lantz Homes Inc. in 1960 by Mr. Wallace Hatcher. With six employees and a company focus on residential building, Lantz Homes, Inc. started the foundation for what Lantz Construction is today - a general contractor with the core values of treating all clients and business partners with fairness and integrity.

We are a "Class A" general contractor licensed in Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland specializing in commercial design-build construction. We build all types of projects, large and small, for a diverse clientele.

Lantz performs the majority of its work within about a 90-mile radius of its home base of Broadway, Virginia, covering locations such as Harrisonburg, Winchester, Berryville, Front Royal, Staunton, Waynesboro, Lexington, Charlottesville, Culpeper, and the eastern counties of West Virginia including Martinsburg and Petersburg.

Over the past 25+ years, Lantz Construction has completed a variety of projects at the Shenandoah Valley Airport from large buildings to smaller, sometimes complex, modification and renovation projects. Our experience with Lantz has been exceptional in every project they have undertaken at SHD. Architecture, Inc. worked with Lantz Construction on the comprehensive, phased, occupied renovations and additions to two elementary schools for Rockingham County Public Schools. Their knowledgeable staff, commitment to teamwork and the pride they take in their work made Lantz Construction a pleasure with which to work. They truly care about the quality of their work and put forth a great deal of effort to assure the Owner's expectations and goals are met.

In 2020 the Town of Elkton selected Lantz Construction to take on the task of restoring a 180 year old building in the heart of Downtown Elkton that serves as the Elkton Town Hall. The team at Lantz understood the importance of restoring this building to its former glory. Throughout the process Lantz was carful to preserve the original details that remained in the historic Jennings House while modernizing all mechanical, electrical and utility needs for a building in 2020. The project included a complete restoration of nearly 6000 square feet of the original building as well as a 1500 square foot
