Animal Removal Report

EJ's Pest Control will start by walking around the perimeter of your home and looking for tracks in the dirt, trees or on the side of the house. Typically you can at least distinguish a bird or bat from a raccoon or opossum. This will help you determine the proper method of animal removal.

A licensed rooming house became infested when a tenant moved in with bed bugs in their belongings. I called EJ's because they had serviced another rooming house a few years ago with a very heavy infestation following tenants moving in from Trinidad. They knew what they were doing.

You'll be overcharged. I can only speak to the pricing of this company as I canceled before services were rendered. This company charges way over the current standard for the DMV area. You will pay an extra $200-300 with no extras like extended warranties. You can find good, quality service for about half the cost. That is what happened to me - - I booked an appointment with EJ Pest Control. After searching for more companies, I googled other bird removal companies and found one that would do the job for $190 rather than the $550 that EJ Pest Control quoted me.

We have a monthly building contract with Orkin in my condo in Washington, DC. On Wednesday morning I received a call from my tenants at that property that there were maggots in the ceiling vent. I called Orkin with the emergency. I would have hoped for quick emergency service but begged the technician to come same day which he thankfully agreed to at the end of his shift. He had no ladder on the truck (WHY?) so we gave him a step ladder and he basically said there was nothing that could be done. Didn't even spray to kill the maggots present. I think there should have been SOME action taken

Less than 24 hours after I reached out to EJ's, my entire home perimeter had been treated for a termite infestation that I had unfortunately found. My wife said that the workers were very careful and courteous, and did a great job. They even left a list of the chemicals they used, and it lined up with the extensive research I did last night in a panic after I was worrying about my house.

I will monitor the termites, but if they die in a month or two I'll know that it worked!

Very happy with EJ' Pest Control. Just had a great experience with Devrick and Xavier. The two gentlemen arrived on time to inspect my property after I found snake skin in my garage. They were knowledgeable and thorough in their inspection. They also gave me a sense of calm as I was terrified to enter my garage. I will most definitely use the service again and refer to others.

Update: they charged me $150 ahead of the service- not $70. And the technician did not go up a ladder- he pulled leaves out through the flue then told me of the additional $50 and refused to leave without payment, threatening he would keep coming back for the money. I was told when I called the owner would call me back and she didn't. I originally was too nice in paying the extra $50 fee I was never quoted, assuming I could have a rational conversation with someone from their company. I spent days trying to get ahold of someone. We needed help on a Sunday afternoon because of a mouse sighting. They were able to send someone in a few hours. From what inspector said, there was a hole behind the fridge and patch it up. So we let him do his thing and we purchased a 2 time service pack for 400ish bucks (NOT CHEAP!!!). The 2nd call took less than 5 minutes. He said because we didnt see anything, we're ok. We asked him to look behind the fridge and there was a dead mouse underneath. Thank goodness we asked him to look. Fast forward 3ish months. This company is crooked. Quoted me $300 for removing mother squirrel and $25 for each baby squirrel. $375 total. But when they were done the office said that they were charging me $375 for the mother squirrel plus $50 for each baby. I told them that was incorrect. They then said the cost was $375 for the mother and $25 for each baby. The manager proceeded to argue with me over the phone. At one point she was talking to someone in her office and telling them how ungrateful I was. I was quoted $375 total (I knew before hand that there was a mother and 3 babies). They charged me $450. We needed a pest control company to go out to a property we manage in the city this past Saturday to remove a dead rodent (yuck! I know!). EJ Pest Control was probably my fifth call - I even called the company the owners have a contract with and no one was available! EJ answered the phone in a prompt and professional manner and had someone out within the next 45 minutes! Their technician located the dead squirrel, sanitized the area and patched up the hole to prevent other animals from entering the home. Needless to say we were extremely happy with their services.

I highly recommend this company. My son had just moved into his home in Washington DC and had a episode of the flies like from a horror movie. EJ came out the same night I called and took care of the problem. They returned for a follow up two weeks later to remove a dead animal somewhere in the wall. I highly recommend them for good customer service and speedy response time

UPDATE: The flies returned to my sons DC rental home. I called a rat infestation specialists and he found five rat carcauses and entry holes that EJ missed.

Their service was okay but almost everything was "if I have to do this" or "stay longer" than an hour the price will go up. I had my service done over a year ago. Recently reached out to them for another issue and the price was ridiculous.

The service I had was to get rid of a mouse. I believe there was one mouse and it got in during construction. The mouse disappeared several weeks later after some traps with poison and brillo place around radiator holes. Job was done but the service was not customer friendly. Provide a quote to get the job done. I paid more than the quote
