I really wanted to give them 5 stars because there was so much promise in the beginning. Amber came as a recommendation so I had high hopes for an easy and seamless experience.
Calling them and getting someone out to do a bid was easy. They have someone in the office and she is organized and responsive. That is where the great service ends.

We used amber flooring years ago and it was great to know we could count on them for another hardwood floor refinishing. Calvin from Amber Flooring came out and knew what he was talking about making the process easy and comforting.

Amber flooring did an awesome job on our older SF condo! They seemlessly connected the old and new planks so that you can't tell the difference. Love the stain I picked with their help. Kim was very responsive and friendly. The crew were professional and pleasant. All in all a great experience and I highly recommend them.

We had several contractors evaluate whether to tear out added flooring and reveal and refinish the original wood from the 1910's. They all said "Not worth the time and effort". People would rather keep piling inferior product on top of beautiful wood than make the effort to refinish. Not Amber Flooring! Tony immediately said "We can do this". I could not be happier with the job Amber Flooring did on the brand new floors they installed and stained in my new home. They were punctual, courteous, and very responsive. Initially I had some concerns when the first coat of stain was lighter than I wanted. We worked it out and Amber Flooring was very conscientious about ensuring I was pleased with the revised stain before they applied it to the entire area. We had brand new floors installed last year and shortly thereafter started experiencing an issue with the finish. Getting no where with our wood floor distributor, I called upon Mark and Al for their guidance. Amber Floor walked us through a total refinish of our brand new floors (protecting and preserving our freshly painted, new kitchen cabinets along the way). We were definitely a hand holding project and going forward I will never use anyone other than Amber Flooring. I love our newly refinished floors more than the original purchased floors. We purchased a new home in Redwood City, and one of the first things we needed to do was to get the floors sanded and stained. Amit was primary point of contact at Amber, and his follow-ups were always prompt. I had a baseboard that he didn't recognize, and they were able to pry a piece of my old baseboard off and get a custom mold to make a new baseboard to match. The floors look absolutely beautiful, and the project finished on time. Thanks!

Hired Amber Flooring to refinish the 15 year old bamboo flooring in my condo. I dealt with Calvin Busto and his crew. They did excellent work, kept me informed about progress and a slight delay (beyond their control) and when the job was finished, I was delighted with the appearance. Three rooms in the contract, they left the site without completing one room. We had to call them to them come back to finish.
Accidentally over paid them, so I asked that they send us the difference. They told me the check had been shredded. So I sent a second check with the corrected amount. 3 months later, my bank notified us the original was being returned.

We were very lucky to have had Saul Mariscal be our project manager from Amber Flooring and Jose Cesar Galvin who was instrumental in applying the perfect finishes to our new kitchen floor - PLUS a special presentation by head colorist Mario, who made the color for our floor unify the rest of our home. All three of these people were key in making our floors into ones we love and will cherish forever.
They all went the extra mile(s!) for us and put their hearts into our floors

I have to say that Amber Flooring is the best. Top-tier! I highly recommend them without any hesitation. I have developed numerous properties so I had high expectations of the company I was going to hire for my own home. They did not disappoint. They exceeded any other company I have worked with in the past for flooring. They are highly professional, very responsive with incredible follow-through.
