Matt and his team built and installed built in custom library bookshelves, which was quite a nuanced exercise since we have vaulted ceilings and the library was designed to have shelves to the tip of the ceiling. The quality of these built in shelves far exceeded my expectations and their attention to detail throughout the process was notable and incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will certainly be hiring them again for future projects!

Castleguard does excellent work. Matt asked very detailed questions during the estimation/proposal phase to ensure he understood our vision. He was very responsive via text/email/phone and always communicated on project status, daily arrival times, etc. We hired Castleguard to install mudroom lockers/bench, powder room cabinets, shiplap, and caned cabinet doors - they were quick, precise, and each project turned out beautifully.

Matt is as talented and professional as they come. We hired him to build a banquette for our kitchen, add some cabinet doors to our living room built ins, and transform a water damaged closet into a drop zone. We were so pleased with his work, we have now hired him to build a custom kitchen table for us, too! He is always on time, a great communicator, leaves the house cleaner than he found it, and is just generally a pleasure to interact with. Not to mention his end products have been everything I wanted/pictured in my head and more. I would recommend him to anyone looking for custom carpentry

We hired Matt to remodel our fireplace. We had a very standard electric fireplace and mantel, builder-grade. Since the fireplace was the focal point of our room, we wanted it to be a statement piece. After sharing inspiration photos I found online, Matt designed the fireplace surround and mantle - which is exactly what we were looking for. I purchased herringbone tile and he installed that as well. We LOVE our fireplace and were so pleased with Matt's work. He's talented, capable, professional, on-time and went above and beyond to answer all of our remodel questions. I definitely recommend Matt

Matt is AMAZING!! He showed up on time each day and left my house clean every evening (as clean as possible during a reno). We threw a couple additional projects at him last minute and he was kind enough to take those on and still complete the job on time. He went out of his way to make sure both of my bathrooms were flawless. Highly recommend!! He's also just a good guy who's super trustworthy. I never felt uncomfortable having him in my home with my kids. In fact, when he came over to quote the project, my daughter (1.5 yr) locked herself in the bathroom on accident and he quickly stepped in

I hired Castleguard in July of 2017 to replace two sides of cedar siding, stain the siding and also repair boards on front and back deck. Castleguard's pricing was extremely fair and the work was outstanding. The project took approximately 1 week. I really felt like they were treating the work as if they were doing work on their own home. They didn't rush, they went above and beyond what I expected and communicated with me the entire way through the project. I would hire Castleguard again and I would recommend them to any friend or family member.
