These Guys are not professional at all, bad behavior and overcharged, broke your stuff and rude on site people.
I had 1200$ Dinning table + Artificial Plant both broken and they said it's covered and claim a file. now they settled with 78$, so be aware guys before any movement. I will say do not let them handle your precious money.
They said your stuff will be going in single truck, but they changed in 2 times in between as per delivery guys. We moved from RI to TX do not had even 400sqft of stuff and they made it 525 sqft and made all single items added for another 800$ extra as per papers.

Due to Covid, I had to store my things and moved across the country. Boston is very busy around August, and few companies were willing to take on a small move at all, much less for a reasonable price across several states (to TX). Five Star Movers was able to get everything from a storage center to my new house just as planned for the expected price, despite a hiccup. One item was separated from the rest and Gustavo, one of the movers who dropped my things off, was a great help in getting it returned to me, so I very much appreciate his assistance and communication. Despite other negative reviews I had a pretty positive experience with 5 star movers. They moved my apartment in Boston and held my stuff in storage safely for over a year. When I relocated to the midwest my furniture arrived in the same condition as I left it. Erika at 5 star movers was especially helpful with coordinating my move and storage needs. I did have a minor issue with the company they hired to deliver my furniture with but 5 star movers helped me dispute the issue. Only removing a star because sometimes it was difficult to reach them (over the phone) but otherwise things went generally

Worst moving experience of my life. It was a move from Cambridge to San Francisco. They are one month late and because they could not reach my phone the day of the delivery (again, one month after the agreed date), they left all our things in a public storage. And of course, no discount for the delay. Besides that, they lied to our broker telling them that we had not provide them with all the necessary information when the truth is that we had done it weeks ago. Outrageous. NEVER USE THEM.

Please dont waste your money. They are the rudest and most unresponsive people. We moved from MA to CA. It has been over 30 days and no one can tell us where our stuff is. No one answers your call or responds to emails. The person manning the front desk is honestly the rudest person I have encountered. This company needs to be flagged. I complained to BBB but I am also going to contact the Consumer Protection Agency to report them

We moved from Massachusetts to Michigan this summer and after an extensive review of vendors, we decided on Five Star Movers for our move.
From the quote to delivery, the staff was responsive to our questions and needs.
The crew that did our pick up did a great job moving our stuff out of our multi-level home and protected the property.
The team that did our delivery were hard-working communicated their travels to alert us of their arrival.
We packed our items ourselves and other than a minor dent in a metal kitchen trash can, all our items arrived safely and in one piece.

I would highly recommended against using these movers.
I was promised an exact pick-up date weeks in advance, and despite multiple calls, I received less than a 12 hour notice for pick up. The movers didn't show up until 8pm (2-3 hours later than expected), took 4 1/2 hours to move less than a studio apartment (there were no stairs or long distances), and left garbage all over my apartment.

Don't waste your time. We had a long distance move across the country and went with this company because their rates were reasonable. While our stuff was not damaged during the move and made it to our new place without any missing items, the lack of professionalism and literally zero communication from the moving team made my experience with the company terrible.
Tony from dispatch will not return your calls, texts, or emails to get an updated delivery date. I contacted him at least 6 times and I never once got in touch with him. The away message on his phone says they are "assisting other customers

Overall a decent company to deal with. Move from Massachustes to Florida went well. Pick-Up in MA was on-time and the moving crew were good guys. Did a nice overall job wrapping our couches, bed, end tables, TV's. All made it Florida safely. Don't agree with the "over the phone" price quote. Price was actually $1000 over quoted price once the items were loaded onto the truck .. but I kind of expected that! John from sales was really good, kept in contact prior to the move! Once the pick-up in MA was completed, I was given the number of the "Operations Manager" Tony who was supposed to keep in contact

I hired five star movers for a long distance move. The booking process was good and very professional. Beyond that my experience was terrible. All of my items were neatly packed in plastic crates. It was evident that many of them were rummaged through or spilled as there was dirt on my clothes and some things were missing.Many of the plastic crates were damaged badly. When I pointed this out to the mover he said we have insurance you can file a claim.

I've used Five Star Movers for three moves over the course of the past 7 years. Overall, they have been fantastic. Erika is very responsive and helpful. The booking process was easy. Their pricing is better than many companies. In every move, the guys showed up on time, were fast and efficient, and put everything where I asked. The only issue I have had is during my most recent move, they were backing the truck up into my driveway and backer into my porch, breaking the railing. This company is the epitome of lack of communication. The sales person that calls you to set up the move tells you completely different things than the movers that pick up as well as delivery your items. No one knew who worked for the company. Although they have a five star email address, they are apparently agents only. After the 48hr window you have to change or cancel your move, good luck catching your rep or anyone in the office. They completely ghost you.This was extremely frustrating when trying to get the correct process/cost nailed down that constantly changed ON moving day.

I had such a great experience with five star movers! Erica was so helpful on the phone and the three guys that showed up were so friendly efficient and fast-they dealt with all the things I was worried about and didn't break a thing as I collect glass objects! I couldn't believe how fast and helpful they were and they weren't bothered at all by my third floor walk up they had to take everything down from. It was reasonable and made my fourth move in four years stressfree! It was the second time I used them and was shocked when I found out they could have moved me back to Boston

Five Star Moving is holding our stuff hostage currently. The company picked up our things in a 14-foot truck, then attempted delivery after transferring our property into a semi, which cannot legally drive down our street. The company was made aware of this but sent a semi anyway. Then the driver attempted to add on a fee for bringing the goods into the house from where the truck was parked. When we asked about this (just asked, calm tone) he started yelling about a semi being in the contract. It was not. He then told his guys to "pack it up!" and left with all our stuff. Later

I was super nervous about this move because I had A LOT of stuff, going from a 3rd floor apartment in one town to a 3rd floor apartment in another town, but they were pros and put my mind at ease. They dismantled my larger furniture and reassembled it at the new place all with time to spare. They were efficient, conscientious, courteous, and professional! I highly recommend them! They were flexible when a car blocked the space where the moving truck was initially supposed to park at my old apartment, but they made it work! Also, they were very patient because we had to wait at the new place

Beware, you get what you pay for with this terrible company. If you want all of your furniture completely ruined and the worst customer service I've ever experienced, then hire this company. Just look at my pictures to see how my furniture -- most of which was less than a year old -- arrived completed bashed and damaged.

Five Stars Movers earned their five stars from me. We used them to pack and move from one apartment to another in Boston. We had a lot of stuff, stairs, a very long hallway, and a broken elevator on move day, and they still stuck to the schedule within a matter of minutes. Everything was placed exactly as I asked.
The most impressive move of the day was when they got our very heavy piano down the stairs with fairly tight turns without hurting it or the walls. Even piano movers I had previously hired had failed at this task.

We moved last week from a house to an apartment and from start to finish, Five Stars Movers was 10 stars in my eyes! They showed up, got started right away, moved quickly and professionally throughout our house to get everything on the truck in 2 hours! They moved it just as quickly into our apartment and never let us lift a single box! They were polite and did everything we asked for and more. Nothing was damaged or scratched moving from one place to the other. I can't tell you how happy we are with Five Stars movers. Hat's off to Kevin and his team of strong, young men. We would recommend

Here we are 3 months later and not only am I out of over $2k in property that I trusted with "Five Star", I have no accounting for my belongings nor a refund or insurance money. Their so called insurance company is basically ignoring my claim. I've given them all necessary paperwork that they keep repeatedly asking for. So basically they can lose or steal your items with no recourse. You have been warned about these people! If you like your stuff, don't do it! Contacting the BBB on both companies and the department of transportation in the morning

Erika was very helpful and never gets tired answering my million questions and updating my inventory. She was always happy to help.
The guys that got our stuff were nice, fast, and efficient. The guy who delivered our stuff was very nice and quick. He did not complain lifting the stuff all the way to the third floor. All of them were very professional.
Everything from my inquiries to delivery went smoothly. Our stuff is one less thing to worry about moving because everything was great because of their help. And you can't beat the price too!

We moved from a second floor apartment to a single family house. These guys showed up early, and moved all of the boxes so fast that my husband was still getting dressed when they started on the furniture (we moved on a Saturday morning). They wrapped all of our furniture very carefully with moving blankets and even disassembled/reassembled some of the bigger pieces. I didn't even know that our desk could be taken apart, but they did it!
