What started as a simple, one-man remodeling firm more than 70 years ago has grown into the largest residential remodeling firm in the area. In 1950, Andrew Robicsek, a Hungarian immigrant, founded a one-man remodeling and handyman service.

With over 70 years of construction experience, Andrew Roby knows how to build luxurious, one-of-a-kind, custom homes from the ground up. Our specialty is working hand in hand with our homeowners and their architects and interior designers to create and build homes tailored to fit their family's unique lifestyle.
Dominick has been in charge of a major remodeling of our cottage house in Davidson, NC. About 12 years ago, we bought a historically designated house (1860) that had been the home of the head of Davidson College during the Civil war and was subsequently sold and moved. We hired Andrew Roby to do the work, and then when we built a cottage house we had them build this as well.

The service I received from one of the project managers from Roby Handyman was bad. But what was worse was that after complaining several times and hearing nothing, I finally wrote to the owners, lamenting the fact that the exemplary service and quality I had experienced 20+ years before from the original Andrew Roby company had disappeared.
I quickly received an angry response from the president -- who made it clear that I was wrong and that he had NO interest in any complaints about his organization.
It's now clear why those down the line treat clients and potential clients so badly!

I’ve been calling contractors for a home build and many have not even returned calls or emails. However, Brian Storm with AR called me back right away even though my project was not something they could help me with. He spent time on the phone giving me a few tips for who to call next. That speaks volumes about the type of services I would receive if they COULD help with my project, and I would recommend them to friends.

This is a great company with great reliable guys. No matter what the house problems they NEVER let me down and always come up with a fix! They did our beautiful home renovation 20 years ago and are as reliable on our current small maintenance projects as they were when they walked through our doors 20 years ago. As a matter of fact a lot of the same people still work there. It's a great family business! Can't recommend them enough!!!

The office staff is very nice to speak to. We have a few small renovations we wanted to have completed. The estimator I spoke with, Will Coble, made me feel like my job was inferior to the work they generally like to do. He quoted me a price on the phone that was more than double the price of other contractors and would not come out to do an estimate without a $300 fee. I felt like he was throwing large numbers at me to scare me away rather than talking to me like a customer and taking the time to actually talk to me about our needs and consider each project individually. Couldnt be happier with my experience! I'm selling my home and had a large list of small things I needed repaired. Eric was able to quickly come in, get me a quote, and get a crew in within a week or so. Their work was fantastic and I couldnt believe how quickly they got the work done. I've been recommending them to all of my neighbors and will definitely use them for my next project!

My satisfaction with Andrew Roby is largelly due to the efforts of one member of the Andre Roby team, in particular, Mark Bently. I recently relocated to Charlotte for work and decided to purchase a home, which I discovered required more repairs than I had originally anticipated. Being new to the area and never having owned my own home, I have found the whole experience to be overwhelming more often than not. If not for the repeated assistance of Mr. Bently, I truly wouldn’t have known what to do. Mark has been willing to help me with countless tasks that were in no way involved with the job

I had an Andrew Roby Project Manager come to my home to discuss a kitchen renovation "fix". It would involve handyman work mostly. I was told I would receive a quote within a few days. I never heard back from the rep. The work has been done by another company but I think this is unprofessional not to follow through with the customer.
