The Sollitt name has been associated with building in Chicago and surrounding areas dating back to 1838. The George Sollitt Construction Company was incorporated in the State of Illinois in 1935. During the Great Depression, Sollitt and Sollitt affiliated companies constructed projects across the country for the Federal government and private institutions.
There is one primary factor that sets The George Sollitt Construction Company apart from our competitors; we are 100% employee owned. So why is this factor important to our clients? Quite simply, our employees are vigilant to ensure that our client's are satisfied with the process of construction as well as the finished project, as both our personal wealth and corporate health are contingent on repeat work and strong recommendations.
With Sollitt as CM the Pre-Construction Services include Scheduling, Bid Packages Development, Conducting Pre-Bid and Post-Bid Meetings, Competitive Bid Promotion, Long Lead Item and Award Recommendations. As CM, we take contractual responsibility for the performance and completion of all construction activities using our Constructability Reports, Quality Control Programs and Safety Plans.
Sollitt now has a updated plan review process for subcontractors bidding our work. An invitation to bid will be emailed out to the most current contact we have for your firm. This ITB will provide a link that you can access and download the project bid documents. If you haven't done so, please fill out the Prequalification information found on our website.
