Ordiz-Melby Architects, Inc. 20th Anniversary celebration with staff at the Ablin House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The firm's creativity and vitality has allowed it to recruit a very diverse staff. They include architects with specialized skills in educational architecture, office design, health care design, religious facility design and computer graphics.

Some of our staff architects have taught local college level architecture classes. In addition, the firm has hired individuals with skills in related fields such as interior design, graphic communications and construction management. Building Information Modeling, or BIM, is the most comprehensive change in project design, documentation, and delivery that the building industry has seen since the introduction of 2D CAD. The full extent of the possibilities associated with information-laden computer models is just beginning to be imagined.
Ordiz-Melby has teamed with several specialized consultant or partner firms to deliver large, complex or specialty projects. These have included master planning, sports facilities, educational facilities, transportation projects and park & recreation facilities. We believe that the cross pollination that occurs in collaborative projects enriches all team members.
Delano Regional Medical Center worked with Ordiz-Melby Architects on a multi-phase expansion to enhance the medical care services provided for the City of Delano and its surrounding communities. The Outpatient Services Facility and Hospital Main Entry Structure comprised the initial phase of this expansion.
The memorial is a spiritual or contemplative walk. The outer area of the plaza is circular and level, allowing viewers to continue at that level as they desire. As with a labyrinth, this journey is intended to be personal and serene. The path begins to slope gradually upward, moving away from the plane of the street level, indicating a change in approach.
