It depends on where you want to install it. Both options are made using real wood, so both are environmentally friendly. Solid wood is what you would expect: a solid piece of wood from top to bottom. Solid wood flooring generally ranges from " to 5/16" thick. It can be used in any part of the home that is above ground and one of the great things about solid wood flooring is that it can be sanded and refinished many times.

Guardian installed new flooring in two rooms of my home and refinished a few other rooms. They also refinished my stair treads and gel stained my stair rails and newel posts. I am extremely pleased with the outcome. Brian places great attention to detail, ensuring that the job is done right. The new hardwood looks fantastic, especially how close they were able to cut and fit it around my curved brick fireplace (no need for any shoe molding). Brian did an excellent job of filling in wood where we had walls removed, replacing wood that was damaged from the previous owners, dealing with a 1/4” height difference between the tile and the wood flooring, and coming up with a custom color that has a slight gray tone. He did all this while working around my home based business. These floors look a new install and they r 46 years old!

My husband and I decided to get hardwood floors for the new year. We called guardian flooring and couldn't be happier with our choice! They did an amazing job and were very pet friendly. They weren't scared of my dogs and didn't make us go out of our way to have our floors done. I would highly recommend!
