DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS BUILDER...RUN AWAY!!
Moved into new build in Feb 2020. Just had my vents cleaned and the company was pulling out large chunks of wood, insulation and nails from the duct work. The person cleaning the vents said it was one of the worse cases he has seen. These guys just swept everything into the venting system that my family breathes everyday. According to the city my yard was not graded properly to have a patio installed. the builder performed a final grade knowing i was installing a patio. Took 6 weeks to get trees and sod from the builder once my irrigation was in

This business leave their construction nails laying in the roads which caused a need for replacement of tires on my vehicle. I contacted them and was spoken to by a very condescending woman who basically informed me it was not their problem and I could drive a different way out of the neighborhood and I didn’t need to go through the construction area. I was then informed she wasn’t going to do anything about it. Very unprofessional. Based on that interaction, I would avoid this business at all cost.

I had the house built and it was a good experience till that point. I was told buy the owner Scott that they would come fix my yard when winter was over which I happily agreed too. Now come spring and nothing has been fixed. I have had to email joel over 6 times with no responses. I finally was called back by Scott at 7 in the morning which seems unprofessional and never leaves a call back number but he promised to move the tree that was too close to my property and come take a look at everything. This builder is building a house next to mine and when putting in doors and windows, the spray foam got blown onto my house. I called to ask who was in charge of the process and woman who answered phone was condescending. I told her what happened and that I wanted the spray foam cleaned off my house. She sends some guy out and all he did was pick it off and leave it laying in my yard and I had just picked it all up out of the yard and out of my rocks. The residue and mess is still all over my siding.

We bought one of the model homes from SW Wold back in Nov. 2017. They were really great to work with and our punch list of minor updates were done fast before closing and everything went smooth. We decided to have SW Wold finish our basement in the spring/summer. We had a vision of what we wanted and that included a wet bar. Everything turned out better than we thought it would. We had a few small issues come up here and there, nothing that was major, and they were prompt and took care of any issues that came up. I think they build beautiful homes and have a great team working with them.

We purchased our first home from Wold in 2000. It was a nice starter home in Elk River by the Sherburne county court house. It was a good home and we had no issues at all while we lived there for 14 years. In 2014 our family had well outgrown the house. We found a lot in Elk River and even a custom home plan. We contacted Wold and worked out the details. Moving a large family is as stressful as it can get. I would say having a home built for you and your family is stressful. We didn't go into a development where our options are limited to type of house and cookie cutter options. Pick A or B. I

We build our home with SW Wold and moved in Jan 2014. We were drawn to them because of their custom home packages and it seemed like a good price for the homes. Our experience was awful! There was zero interest in this company in customer satisfaction. I would never recommend this builder to anyone! Every option we chose was more expensive than our quoted estimates. Our build did not match our blueprints. Our garage leaked water after 2 months causing water damage and it took approximately a year and a half for this company to correct the error. SW Wold built my home - they did an amazing job!! They did everything exactly how I wanted it - they stuck to the calendar time line that they gave me. It was so fun to go and check out every week, something new was always happening! They were very responsive after closing when it came to getting things fixed! - They sent people out at my year end sheet and fixed any nail pops, or settling of the home that needed a touch up! I recommend them to everyone! So amazing and I absolutely love my home!! (the finish choices and their allowances on everything is amazing as well)!

This is my second new home to buy from a builder and SW Wold is the worst. The quality is substandard, they are not responsive, they tell you that something will be done "next week" and it never happens. They were supposed to put a new roof on my house due to the hail storm before we closed on the house, which didn't happen. At closing they said they needed 30 days and they would have the roof done. After 3 weeks they put the shingles and dumpster on my driveway and it's been sitting there for 6 weeks and they will not remove them nor have they replaced the roof. I would recommend to never buy

Our first home is now 4 years old and I couldn't be more disappointed with sw wold! Our shingles do not seal or stay on our roof, our siding has faded, the house ceilings have cracks, our side walk has cracks, and now our septic tank pump has failed. Over the years we have tried tirelessly to work with sw wold, but they been unwilling to help. Basicslly their material is cheap and they put little effort to make sure your home will last. In fact, our neighbors have had similar problem with this company where the material on their home has been a complete fail. Sw wold literally took our money and
