My coworker stopped at the gas pump right before work, when she got out her her car locked, with her keys still inside !! Called Michael Lock & Key, he answered right away, kept in constant contact, the tech even called to confirm. Took about 20 minutes from the time I called to the tech coming out. He was able to quickly unlock the door and my coworker was able to come and work her shift. They also hooked her up with a great deal considering it was an emergency and she had limited funds.

While the locksmith was friendly, efficient, and effective, I had called and specifically asked about a price quote to rekey 5 locks in my home and get 4 total copies of the keys. I was told depending on the security level of the locks it would be between 39$ and 79$. I had a home warranty that would have done it for 85$, so I was pleasantly surprised.
I was misquoted, because that was the price PER LOCK, and did not include key copies. Calling for a quote needs to be for the entire job as specified, and now I am out $160 because of their dispatcher's misquote.

I called here today just to check out an estimate which all other companies were happy to give me. I called 5 companies total. I told Michael’s Lock & Key that the estimate was just too high but thanks anyway. A man from here called me twice trying to get my business. After he went on for a minute straight about how much he knew about the locksmith business and how much I didn’t, I told him I had to go with another company. He told me that I was a waste of time and that I’m horrible (enough though he was the one bothering me and I barely spoke). Wow! Some people really can’t handle any

Good friendly service, but sprung a $39 "service fee" on me after the work was complete, despite me explicitly asking for price on the first call, and asking if there was a location I could go to, rather than having somebody make a house call. Instantly dropped the fee to $29 when I objected, and I decided to just be done with it at that point There's no excuse for not being up front about the total cost of service.

Michael is awesome! He's helped me get into my apartment when I was locked out on two occasions. Most recently he noticed that only 2 of the 5 pins in the lock were working and re-keyed my locks. He's Responsive, reasonably priced and has a good sense of humor. Hopefully I won't be in need of any locksmith services anytime soon; but if I do; he will be the first person I call.

Awful experience. I was locked out of my car. Called, and was told the service was 29 dollars. If more work/ payment was required I would be told up front. A guy shows up in an unmarked vehicle, wearing sweat pants and before I can even introduce myself pops the thing in the door and gets it unlocked. Then he goes back to his car for about 5 minutes not saying a word. He hands me an invoice for $209 dollars and I said absolutely no way. I said I was told $29 and if it was going to be more you would tell me first, before unlocking the car. He said let me call my boss- I said sure I'd love to

Don't use! My daughter got locked out of her car and called Michael's, they're were only 15 min away and charged her $240!! When I called and asked about pricing, the person who answered wouldn't even give me a quote/estimate/best guess unless I gave him a physical address? He said without an address, the tech wouldn't know what to charge!! Totally took advantage of a young lady in a bad situation!!

Scam! My elderly mother called for a rekey. No problem until they showed up and said they "can't do a rekey without the key" then upped the price three times the quote - we declined that service. As soon as he left we received threatening phone calls from a different man (not identified) and ended up having to block that number! Once we blocked that number threatening texts from another number started rolling in! Scary and unprofessional. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE.

Once again this company never fails to impress. I lost my house key at work and never got the chance to make a duplicate, which would have usually meant being stuck on my front porch for hours waiting for a locksmith or finding somewhere else to stay for the night out of sheer defeat.
