Help! Everything is white - walls, ceiling, woodwork, cabinetry, and white drab carpet and it is intensified by the natural light at this Oceanside townhouse! The furniture is sagging and worn out. The windows are covered with old, beat up, dusty white Venetian blinds. A highly visible and recently "redone" stairway in cherry is lovely, but it no longer blends with the adjacent kitchen cabinets and French style dining room set.

The finish on the kitchen cabinets is peeling, yellowed and beyond repair and the appliances need to be updated. This brand new small, empty condo overlooking the West Hills of Portland was the "get-away" in the city for my clients. The challenge was to furnish the condo in such a way that someone walking in would say "Wow, that's beautiful!"

Like many couples, they had differing. Relocating from Sante Fe to Portland was exciting but also came with challenges. The clients purchased a beautiful new home overlooking the city and were excited to decorate their home.

People often ask what inspires me, where do I find inspiration, or how do I come up with my ideas? What seems difficult to them appears to be so easy for me.

I am personally inspired by a number of different things: the wonders of nature - the colors, textures, light, and sounds; shape and form in architecture and furniture; beautiful fabrics; the interplay of color in all things; works of local artisans; objects and spaces that function seamlessly; the creative talents, skills and ideas of others, both past and present; fine musicians especially pianists; music in general; etc.
Kitchens skillfully designed to help you enjoy cooking with ease in beautiful surroundings. Kitchens are often a source of great stress and frustration due to a lack of poor planning and design. When properly designed to function well and reflect your personal aesthetics, the kitchen becomes a pleasant work center for meal preparation and a gathering place to relax and enjoy family and friends.

I have had the opportunity to meet up with Susan Grady from Grady Interiors recently and have been very impressed. She is dedicated to helping her clients express themselves with interior design. Susan acts like a guide, helping to facilitate and organize her clients vision for comfort and class in their home. She is honest, reliable and extremely personable. Most of Susan's clientele tends to be mid to high-end as she specializes in beautiful custom kitchen and bath design however, I learned that Susan is delighted to work with any design project and budget need. I truly appreciate how she makes

As I was nearing the end of my remodel project, I contacted Grady Interiors here in Portland to come help me with the final touches. She helped my with some space planning issues, furniture choices and did some quick fixes on some of decisions I had made on my own. My office was pretty much done and decorated, but it never felt right to me but I couldn’t pin point it. Susan pointed out that my metal valance to my shade was the wrong color and I should paint it lighter to match the trim. It was the simplest of fixes, but it transformed the space. Susan was very helpful and my only regret is that
