A second-generation builder who learned the trade from his father, Coultas was taught to do things the “right” way, the first time, at a very early age. That training paid off because today Coultas excels at the design and construction of a wide variety of projects ranging from new and remodeled homes to commercial and government work that encompasses both new construction and renovations.

In addition to past projects that have included the initial construction and remodeling of numerous homes, the firm has experience in the construction and renovation of locally recognized and award winning buildings including schools and other institutional and government structures. Coultas Construction is fully licensed and insured — and complete satisfaction is absolutely guaranteed.

The company has draftsman and designers on staff and can take any project from concept to completion, offering affordable quality, both inside and out, that clients can see and feel — things like hand-finished woodwork.
Services
Building “green” is a core value that Coultas brings to every project — especially where remodeling is concerned. Using carefully selected components and top-quality recycled building materials, he works to ensure that each project will be completed with the minimum total impact on the environment.

WAY over-budget, took a year+, unreliable, kept adding more materials and time, crew were not trained, he let workers go up on a ladder 30' without roping them, instead of using scaffolding; workers didn't show up some days; one time they illegally got into our house while we were gone to get to the circuit panel then left the house unlocked. Ruined our lawn then complained that they spent $800 (a pittance

We hired Robert to remodel the basement area of our family's forever home. We have 2 young children and we shared with Robert how we wanted him to help us add some additional rooms and bathrooms in the basement area. The quality of work was terrible as the concrete pour resulted in floor that is not smooth and uneven by as much as 2". When the plumber asked for the tub area to be leveled, he proceeded to buy self leveling concrete with rocks in it; dumped it which created a 'hill' that protrude above the surrounding area by greater than 1.5". He destroyed the zone control for our HVAC system by

This is the short version of this story. I hired Coultas to build a detached garage. I put a $10,900 deposit down, with the promise that it would be completed within 4 months. After closer to 7 months and several phone calls, I FINALLY got him to produce a set of plans. The problem was that the building in the plans would absolutely not fit on the property space. The response was basically that they would just build the garage whatever size would fit. Yea, and the building inspector would never have a problem with a structure not matching the plans submitted for permits, right? I fired him after
