I had difficulty level setting what exactly was being contracted with this contractor. I provided him with architectural plans for a front deck (which was permitted / had paid structural engineering plans/ etc. there was little ambiguity in structural definition of done given state laws) The quote I got back was for 80k at least for a ***front deck*** When I double clicked into where this cost could be coming from... Cost that is equivalent to a down payment on a house ... NOTHING was defined or defended. I was just told that my standards were not high enough to solicit his or his teams work.

I had a fantastic experience working with Patrick and his crew on my carport and driveway replacement project. From the first time he came out to scope the work and throughout the project, his communication skills were outstanding.

Patrick and his team recently remodeled our master bathroom, and we are thrilled with how great it came out. It looks even better than we imagined it would. We basically gutted the entire bathroom - including ripping out a shower wall which was replaced with glass, new tile floors and new tile for the shower, new fixtures, a new vanity, mirrors, lights, a new toilet, etc. I've added some pictures.

Everyone was so professional and respected our space (we lived in the house during a kitchen and bath renovation with twin toddlers). I worked with Patrick and his team on doing a total renovation on a bathroom. Patrick was very professional from the get go. We received four quotes and his was in line with the other quotes we received. I found him honest and fair and very good at problem solving. He didn't blink at our nitpicky requests and handled little glitches along the way quickly and pleasantly. His team was also very polite and efficient. The bathroom came out beautifully and we are very proud of it. We hope to use Patrick and his team again for another project down the road.

I could not be happier with my experience with Joy Developments. Patrick and his team did a fantastic job on designing and building a carport on our 1900's Craftsman. We wanted a carport that looked modern, but not out of place with the existing home and neighborhood. The result was a seamless addition that functions well and looks stunning.

Patrick and his team are amazing! My first clue was how quickly he responded to my initial email when I reached to ask about remodeling my kitchen. While I had some specific ideas about how I wanted it to look, there was a ton I didn't know and Patrick patiently walked me through things, offered great suggestions, and overall seemed genuinely interested in making sure I was happy with the entire process. Our Redmond home was a 1963 house with an really old old bathroom. Patrick and his team transformed it completely. His design decisions are very tasteful and modern. Even though it was a small space he managed to give us our must haves :) - including a tooth brush shelf , embedded wall mirror and niche in the shower.
We did run into a few issues and frustrations as people usually do with any remodeling project but we felt Patrick dealt with them

I had Patrick from Joy Development came out this last month to do work on my rental home West Seattle. Patrick came out to do an interior remodel to my kitchen and bathroom. Patrick was awesome and such a nice down to earth guy. His finished work is beautiful and he has a great eye for detail. Patrick came to my rental and did the subfloor in my bathroom. I was extremely satisfied with the way it turned out. He saved me the time and frustration of doing it myself. I contracted Joy Development to work on many projects over the past 2 years and always was extremely satisfied with the results. Patrick is a rare find of a contractor: reliable and punctual, well prepared, knowledgeable and resourceful. He won't mislead you about a cost of a project , moreover, would give you money saving tips from where to buy materials to conservative maintenance. He also have an artistic eye for finishing details and color, and gives excellent advice on remodeling projects. I have recommended Joy Development to my friends with pleasure and confidence.
