The lot or homesite is surveyed and staked out to verify where the custom home will be located. Tree removal and underbrushing are performed as well as stripping of the organic topsoil, which is removed or used to grade areas around the slab.

My husband and contracted Schenck Builders June of 2020 to build our home. We didn't realize we were about to embark on a very expensive project that was underbid from the start. From the beginning we started asking questions about the budget and why the invoices that were being sent to us were so much higher than budgeted for. We were reassured along the way things will work out in the end and not to worry. This did not happen and the budget went over what we were anticipating by a large sum. There were tons of bumps along the way with bad communication and unprofessionalism of

TERRIBLE communication from Yvette & company. Constant delays with no updates. They moved the house from where it was to be located on the lot, which caused trees we wanted for shade to be cut down. They put in the WRONG windows that we were paying to have installed. It was all smiles until construction began. We cancelled the contract & built with another firm in a different location.
