I used Hands on Moving to move into my new home on the day after Christmas. The crew was fantastic and friendly. I received a call about an hour before arrival. They called again when they were about ten minutes out. When they arrived, they came in to look at everything that would be moved. They quickly got to work. They first moved all of our boxes. We had about 30 boxes and it took them 15 minutes to move them all out. They were efficient when moving furniture and packing the truck. After residing in six states and 17 moves, I have more experience than the average person in what constitutes an excellent moving company.
Hands On Moving is a superior moving company in every way.
Even though three men would have accomplished the move, adding a fourth man, at my request, made the move quicker. From arrival to the move to departure it took 3 hours to move a significant amount of large pieces of furniture, going up and down flights of stairs at each location, and a significant number of boxes. Not to mention the early 1900 narrow doors.
Out of all the bids I received, Hands On

We hired Hands On Moving to haul away some large gym equipment that we hadn't used in years. They came within the time window and the guys were friendly and helpful. We live on a narrow dirt road so they had to park 1/2 a block away and despite that, they remained helpful and easy to work with. This is the 2nd time I've used them (the 1st time was for moving) and they are a delight to work with! I highly recommend them!

Kay and Marcello were amazing! Super friendly, flexible, efficient, and might I add BRAVE! (They had to carry a few bulky pieces of furniture up a steep fire escape stairwell.) Arlene was helpful and w great communicator. They made a tough move so much easier.

Hands on Moving has moved me twice in the past year. Both times they were absolutely fantastic -- easy to deal with, responsive, polite, competent, professional, friendly, helpful. The first move was a big one in the pouring rain: a heroic effort accomplished in one day. I couldn't have asked for better experiences -- or fairer prices. From start to finish a great experience, as always, with Hands On Moving. Easy booking with Arleen and flexibility when we had to change our date. The estimate with Xzavier was quick and accurate. On the day of the move, the guys showed up on time, ready to work, and in great moods. We all had a blast (see video). The truck was the right size, they had plenty of blankets, and they were so clever about how to load efficiently and safely. And quickly! Let me just say that I've used other moving companies in the past and I should have called one of them. These movers were sloppy and unprofessional! Numerous damages to furniture and walls of my new freshly painted home. When I called to complain, Mr. Mayo apologized and said I definitely would get some compensation for the experience. Well it took a month for furniture repair person to come out and use touch up paint on my damaged wood furniture. He did a decent job, but what about the 2 tables I told Mr. Mayo are missing. I've made several attempts to reach him and have left messages on his voice

Xzavier and his crew did an amazing job of moving a baby grand jazz piano from our house in Hamden to our son's house in Milford. It had to be taken from our basement up & out thru a bilco door that had literally a 1/2" of clearance beyond the size of the piano. They were fantastic to work with and are definitely the #1 mover in my book!! Thanks again Hands on Moving!

Just finished moving my things to storage with Hands on Moving, and they were amazing!! Fast, efficient, helpful, professional, and very reasonably priced. It ended up taking 3 hours and 2 guys to move my things (about the equivalent of a very full 1 bedroom apartment); they got me in under the estimated quote. 10/10, will use again.
