Gilbert's Professional Pest Control was founded in 1974 by Jeff Gilbert. After 42 years Jeff sold the business to an employee of 13 years, Ryan Gordon, in the spring of 2016. Bed bugs are found throughout the world and are significantly increasing in numbers in North America as well as in many other countries. Even though we do not understand fully all of the reasons behind this increase, we suspect possible contributing factors such as a reduction in the use of urban pesticides, the more extensive world travel of different cultures and resistance to pesticides.
Fleas and Ticks can both spread diseases to your family and pets. Our treatments are both pet and child friendly and are extremely effective in preventing and killing these unwanted bugs. Adult fleas are between 1-3 mm long and brownish in colour. Their bodies are compressed from side to side which enables the flea to move through fur and feather with ease.
Wasps, Hornets, Yellow Jackets and Bees can all cause issues, especially if you are allergic to their stings. It is good to note that we do not destroy honeybees. If there is an unwanted colony, we will call in a professional honeybee keeper to remove and relocate the bees. The eastern yellowjacket is a ground nesting species found throughout most of the eastern United States - from North Dakota to Texas and east to the Atlantic coast.

I received a prompt response from the company and had an appointment very shortly after. My service man Shane was on time and very professional and friendly. He was in an out in 15 minutes and gave us good info for going forward. He was also kind to our kids who were excited to see the “bug man.” Very pleased with our service and will use them again in the future.

Gilbert’s pest control was very thorough and quickly treated our home when we found evidence of termite activity. I had called one of the large National chains and was not impressed with their service so decided to get a second opinion and I’m glad I did! Would definitely recommend!
