That's why we operate as a boutique custom builder. A small project portfolio allows us to offer New Urban clients a level of personalized service unmatched by our competitors. We'll spend as much time as it takes up front working with you, your design team and our own stable of trusted trades to ensure every detail of your project is planned to your satisfaction before a hammer drops.
This remarkable home was designed by brutalist architect Otto Stark, who also designed downtown Chicago's lauded Blue Cross Blue Shield Building (1968) at 55 W. Wacker Drive. A perfect property begs for a perfect home, and a tear-down is often the simplest move toward achieving what works best for your family. When our clients acquired this truly stunning parcel, perched high on a critical dune along Lake Michigan, the existing structure was dark, dated and in need of reconfiguring to function comfortably as the family's vacation home.
This is our fifth construction project and clearly our best. New Urban has a keen eye on construction details that assured us the quality standards we expected would be met or exceeded. Consistent communication on building progress avoided errors and increased our confidence in the finished product.
