Got my beautiful custom backyard patio installed by the excellent team of professional and friendly staff. Special mention and thanks to Kyle J for his fantastic project coordination who was always on top of things and very prompt, responsive and kept us updated along every step of the way. It’s not all about the price but the quality and design of work that they do, made sure the job gets done correctly, and even city inspection and permit process they made it look like a breeze. Excellent, impressive results that get a lot of unsolicited compliments from neighbors. They poured a concrete retaining wall and built a sleek iron fence with gate on it. Work was fast, efficient, clean and professional. All work was done on time and on budget. Communication was superb. Over a year later, they quickly came out to repair a wooden gate problem that it turns out was done by another company. Though we eventually found they had originally been contracted only to stain, not rebuild, the gate, they fixed the problem at no cost, lightning fast and then called to make sure we were satisfied

Kyle Jamison was our main point of contact. He came out to our home and gave us open and honest feedback and fair pricing. He was extremely professional and super responsive to every concern we had every single time and even when he had a family emergency. That type of service is incredible! We had Texas Backyard build a 22ft pergola covered with polygal roofing material, a TV cabinet, and our outdoor kitchen from design all the way to construction completion. Kyle, the sales/project manager, did an excellent job understanding the requirements and budget for our new back yard fence. His communications were always very clear and to the point.
Carlos, Jesus and the rest of the crew were fantastic. There was a lot of thick brush that needed to be cleared for the back part of the fence to be installed. This was a huge task that they completed on the first day and removed it all before leaving. They built the entire fence on the second day with time left over to do a thorough cleanup and quality review. We couldn't be happier with our new fence.

We recently worked with TBL on building our custom outdoor kitchen and we were blown away! They did an amazing job and their crew was so professional! I chose this company based on ratings but the experience was less than expected. I had met on a couple of occasions with the sales manager Kris Williamson. He had given us a quote within 2 weeks. However, he didn't return several calls. He finally said he would set up an appointment for him and his foreman to come and discuss the final details. His communication and follow up is sub par as we have been sitting here for 6 weeks still not sure when or if the meeting with the foreman will happen or if my fence will be built. I had to pull the plug on this project as it seems it is going nowhere

Had them replace our old fence-delighted with the results! They gave us estimates on several different options and explained everything. The estimate was clear and when we had a question, it was answered promptly. The crew was reasonably careful with the plants and did a great clean up job. I have already had a neighbor come by and say it is the best looking fence in the neighborhood-I agree!

Filled out the free estimate online and got a callback the next morning. We scheduled an appointment for 4/14 from 10-11 am. Sat around until about 11:20 before calling them to see what was going on. Was told the appointment was scheduled for 4/28 and not 4/14. The person who originally scheduled it specifically said Wednesday 4/14 which was great for me because I was off work that day. I am working on 4/28 and did not schedule anything for that day. I would never trust a company to complete a large backyard patio project that cant even schedule appointments properly.

Professional, quick to get back with a price, very reasonable pricing. I was very impressed with how quick the work was done and even more impressed with the clean up afterwards. I have used people in the past and have found nails and wood in my backyard. They go through your whole backyard with a metal detector to make sure there are no nails, very important if you have kids or dogs. I highly recommend them!!!!

We are In love with the stone work and patio they have done for us. Watching the workers hand chip each individual stone and their attention to detail was simple incredible. We hired Texas Backyard Living to replace part of our backyard fence. It is a big, expensive job, over 200 feet of fence. When the owner made his sales pitch to us he told us that Texas Backyard Living is BBB Certified, that they are on the Good Contractors List, and that they've been in the fence business for over 10 years in North Texas. He told us this in response to us asking about references and reviews for the company. Updating my original review of 4 stars - after installation and my payment their service was non-existent. I have had nothing but trouble with the motorized gate and can't get anyone to come and service it. We were physically stuck inside the backyard because the gate would not open and was told that they were not able to come out for at least a week. The $10,000 I paid for the gate and fence I would hope they would at least be customer oriented for the first year or at least the first 6 months. Very disappointed in the company.

TBL was great to work with and exceeded our expectations. We had a backyard patio and roof built along with electrical and a bar. Kimbra was our sales rep and she was always available to answer questions along the way and coordinated communication with the various crews that came out. She also gave me a vision of what it would look like and gave recommendations on design. The woodwork is some of the best I've ever seen and they work extremely fast. I'd recommend this company over some of the others in the area that are much more expensive.

Texas Backyard Living was great!!! They just built me a deck that I've been wanting. I did my research and was very hesitant at first, but felt most comfortable with this company while shopping.
The sales guy was very professional and explained the whole process to me. Was very quick to communicate and answer many questions and even help me out with price.
The crew that came to do the work was very polite and efficient. They did the work fast and cleaned up everything nicely.

Our 8' board on board privacy fence turned out AMAZING. Couldn't be happier! Rocky and his team did an incredible job - within a week and a half of getting a quote, the new fence was complete!
