JAK BUILDERS is a full service home remodeling, home improvement and home building contractor in San Diego. We established JAK BUILDERS in 1999. So, who are "we"? We are Josh and Andi Kitts, business partners, best friends and husband and wife. Now you can see how we got the name JAK - Josh and Andi Kitts.
Josh was introduced to home construction by his father who was also a general contractor. Josh grew up in the business, learning every aspect of building, remodeling and home improvement. Josh is a master carpenter and framer with a passion for building. He is also a proven problem solver. His wealth of knowledge and his framing experience are invaluable assets to any homeowner looking to build or remodel a home in San Diego.
Andi worked as a San Diego attorney during the day and helped manage and develop JAK BUILDERS at night before committing full time to the family business. Andi now works full time managing the administrative affairs of JAK BUILDERS and she is probably the first person you will speak with when you contact us.

Services
Remodeling experience and a contractor's license alone do not make a contractor qualified to do 203k loan renovations. Many licensed contractors do not have liability insurance because it is not required by the Contractor's State License Board. Many licensed remodeling contractors are also not EPA lead safe certified.

Very reliable contractor, always did the work they said they would. We remodeled our entire home down to the studs. Josh explained everything clearly and came back whenever I had questions. The crew was respectful and friendly and always cleaned up after themselves. The work has been excellent, we are having them come back for another project!

Great customer service, work done on time, pricing remained the same from the original quote. Very creative contractor that will incorporate your ideas into the design. We remodeled our entire home, taken down to the studs. Josh took the time to go over everything, as many times as I wanted and explained all aspects of the job in detail. He always comes back when I ask for help on anything or have any problems. Very very reliable.

These people are amazing. Here's my story: I started repainting the interior of my house. I had multiple issues...purchasing poor quality paint, prepping the walls wrong, running out of time to finish projects and so on. I have painted many of my places in the past but honestly was totally overwhelmed by this project. I wished I'd never started. I talked to Andi and Josh at JAK Builders and asked for help.
