We hired Capital Movers after an extremely arduous mortgage and closing process, and frankly, really had zero capacity for more stress in our lives. I reached out for quotes from 5 local movers in Albany area; Tom was by far the most responsive, and had the best flat rate by hour arrangement from any bidder. Based on other reviews, we pulled the trigger. When our moving day came, Tom and his crew were on the scene down to the minute, and were extremely professional. They treated our possessions with great care, while moving with hustle that genuinely impressed us. Tom shot straight on all estimates

I was able to schedule a move during the busiest time of year. They arrived on time and moved quickly and efficiently. The two main guys were great but they brought a younger guy (teen?) who was a bit unenthusiastic and not a very hard worker and charged me for three moving men instead of the two I booked - fortunately we were able to come to a decent compromise. There was a tiny bit of damage to two of my old wooden dressers which disappointed me but it's not like they were antiques or anything, and I didn't ask them to take special care of them. They were great at letting me sit back

I made multiple attempts to contact Tom. He called me back very intermittently, and could not give me any feedback regarding the dates I requested, as he had to "look into it."He told me he would call back, and get in touch with me, multiple times, regarding what he had available. I called and left several messages. About 5 days had gone by with no response. This company is very hard to get ahold of. We went with a much more reliable company that had an extremely quick response for all of our needs.

I highly recommend Capital Movers. They were prompt, courteous and efficient. There was no wasting time. They got the move done quickly yet handled my belongings with care. They even took apart an item I no longer wanted and dropped it off in the recycling bin before heading to my new place. Will definitely call on them again should I move in the future.

I needed help getting an extremely heavy pool table moved from my garage to a room upstairs. From the onset, Tom was great. He was very communicative about the schedule - even trying to squeeze me in as early as possible. As we zeroed in on a date, he kept me in the loop every step of the way. I didn't need to track him down like I have had to do with movers in the past. When they arrived, they were punctual, courteous, careful, and thorough.

Exceeded our expectations. We called Tom 3 weeks before our move set up a quote and date and time very easily. Tom and his team showed up right on time and had everything in the truck in under an hour. These guys are great! Really nice people as well and a pleasure to work with! They are very careful with your stuff but also got it all done in record time I was so impressed! Definitely recommend them to anyone moving!

Similar to another complaint below, I have experienced extreme delays in communication with this company. I submitted a quote request phone call on their website which was never answered and was called back 3 days later. I called the guy back to begin the booking process even after I had received other quotes and he said let me call you right back and never did. Called again today and left a message to no response. It's too bad because they seem to have good reviews. I'll be bringing my business elsewhere.

I have used Capital Movers twice and been very satisfied with the service both times. They return phone calls in a timely manner, call to confirm details the night before the move, and show up on time. They were also careful with my things and everything got from Point A to Point B safely. They do have a minimum number of hours that they charge for, so be aware of that if you're moving a studio or small 1-bedroom within the same city. Overall happy with the experience and would utilize again.

Overall a good experience. They were so quick which was nice. Was able to move from an apartment to a house in about 3-4 hours. The only complaint was that we requested 3 people and they said day of service " oh I got a 4th guy". Well they were also charging us extra for that 4th guy. That was kinda frustrating. Otherwise friendly people and hard workers.

These guys were so unbelievably good when it came time to make the long distance move from Brooklyn to Albany. Communication at first was a little hard but Tom actually went above and beyond to move some things around to get us all set up.
When the guys came down, it was a week after the big blizzard in NYC, so getting around was a bit rough, but these guys didn't blink. We also probably had about 10-20% more than we thought we did and the guys just kept at it. Seeing them pack the truck was like watching a real life tetris game.

We had a great experience with them. Beforehand, they were able to work in a reschedule within a week of the move with no problem. On the day of the move, they showed up ten minutes early and immediately set to work. They were polite, courteous, and most importantly, efficient. They were great at trouble shooting getting the more challenging furniture into the new place. They were worth every cent.

What an amazing crew!! I called them three days before I was due to move and they were able to get me in. They called the night before to give me their ETA and they were there early. Super friendly and efficient! They were able to fit my two bedroom apartment in their truck in just one move. Friendly with the unloading as well. Highly recommend them!
