Moved from the Cville area to Richmond and they made the transition seamless. They were timely and professional with the move itself and the communication before and after. I’m grateful for the care put into moving our fragile possessions (particularly the several hundred vinyl records) and even helped us hang our TV on an existing wall mount. I’d highly recommend their service, and if you get a chance to chat with the movers they’re all super friendly people as well. Thanks!

The owners of this company work very hard to make it a good moving company. They will pay you for damages to your property, however we prefer not to have any. The owner even debated with me over some of the damage as the crew member denied it. We felt that they use nice polite workers that appear to work hard. However, there was no crew leader and it was a free for all loading and unloading our belongings. We had everything packed and marked as to where it should be placed in the new home, it just didn't happen 50% of the time unless we were on top of them constantly. Young guys that seem

If I could give 10 stars I would. Max runs a great business! He was professional, prompt, and took the stress out of our move. Our team was excellent. Jake, Nyzeah, and Sebastian showed up on time, worked hard all day, and stayed late until the job was done. Truly went above and beyond. Not a scratch on any piece of furniture or part of the house. They were pleasant, respectful, and professional. This was the best moving experience I have ever had. Will be recommending Moving Forward to all my friends and family!

Moving Forward is the best moving company I have ever used for a move. I have used these guys twice now. Once for a move for our non-profit and for a personal move. From Abby coordinating the details of the move to Jake, Sebastian and Duante moving us, I have never worked with such a professional, outstanding group of people! From our first association with Moving Forward, I found Abby to be cooperative, responsive and helpful. The on site move went smoothly with experienced crew who were polite and efficient. The quote was a little higher then others for my out of town move, but I wanted someone with good reviews to take some of the burden of an out of state move off of my shoulders. While communication was great at first, after they secured my deposit it quickly declined. I had to text several times to find out what I owed after paying my deposit, I had to text the night before my move to ask when the movers would arrive. It is impossible to find words that adequately say how wonderful and amazing this company is. Because of Moving Forward, we experienced the easiest move-in. It had started as a nightmare with our belongings being delayed in arrival. The moving company we had hired to receive and move in for us totally flaked and then ghosted us. Our movers - Jeremiah, Dante, and Julio were true professionals and maintained their strength and sense of humor during a very long and arduous move of our business. Every time was treated with care and all requests for placement on the final end were met. The office was prompt to respond and very courteous. We cannot recommend Moving Forward highly enough! They handled a long-distance move for us and were easy to work with, very responsive, and flexible at every step. Communication was seamless and they worked with us to make sure the move met all of our specifications -- even scheduling a pre-move consultation and walk-through when we were unsure about what kind of truck would be needed. The movers were on time, friendly, and efficient. Overall, it was by far the least stressful moving experience we've had, and we'd certainly work with the team again in the future.

Wonderful experience with this company. We hired a team to load a 16' truck we were driving to Missouri. They were careful, professional and friendly. When we arrived in MO after a long, bumpy 16+ hour drive, not one thing was nicked or broken, thanks to their expertise in knowing how to wrap and pack items both large and small (including a refrigerator and a 46" riding lawnmower). I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for competent, professional service!

They did a great job moving! It was a hard move moving from one town home to another in very hot weather. However, they put three very large holes in my stairwell moving my furniture into my new home. They were very apologetic but they didn't offer to have it repaired and Then lied about doing the damage!

I needed to do a small to medium move within town and these guys did a stellar job. Arrived on time, carefully loaded everything, and then quickly unloaded. I've already referred them to a few other folks who were looking for movers.

After dealing with some of the worst companies in this industry, I wanted to take a moment and acknowledge one of the better ones: Moving Forward was professional, responsive and friendly, the quote was delivered quickly and was in-line with other companies in the area. Tyler, Sam, and crew are very professional, courteous, and they get right after it! Definitely a focused, hard-working crew. They are also strong dudes, very capable of keeping heavy furniture corners out of drywall.

One thing you have to realize about Moving Forward that may not be obvious -- and was a big deal for us -- is that they can scale their efforts to meet your capabilities. Specifically, my wife and I knew that we could handle the packing and moving most of the small stuff, we only needed help with the "big stuff". We are so grateful for Tyler and his team. After a nightmare of a self-move from Chicago, Moving Forward was so flexible, and Tyler, Sam, Don, and Freeman made time to unload our truck the morning after we had originally scheduled them. They were kind, moved SO fast, and took great care of our belongings.

I also must give a special shout-out to Crystal, who was the kindest, most comforting, most accommodating person as our arrival time got pushed back 1, then 2, then 5 hours. She was easy to reach and so understanding.
