Services
We create complex interior woodwork in historic and distinctive homes that adds modern convenience and functionality without detracting from the home's historic charm. We occasionally take on complex projects in newer homes if it's otherwise a good fit. We're not the right fit for standard interior trim projects or any job where speed and cost are the primary concerns.
A: I try to stay within a 30-minute commute from Southwest Denver. That's Arvada, Westminster, Golden, all Denver addresses, Lakewood, Northwest Aurora, Englewood, etc. I'll drive further for specialty work or previous clients, but in most cases, you're better off hiring someone in your area after our trip fees are added.
We e-mail and/or call and go over the details of your project and provide a rough-estimate of what similar projects generally cost, how long they generally take, and when we could start. If that all works, we start pre-construction / design. Book a free virtual meeting via Zoom, FaceTime, or Google Hangouts and we check out your project and go over some options.
Custom paneling can be milled from any species in any profile, built to the client's specifications. We have built a library of moulding cutters, router bits, shaper knives, and hand tools needed to produce thousands of specialty profiles in-house. Combine that with 3 local millwork suppliers that we work with that each have their own libraries of 10,000+ profiles, and suffice it to say we can make anything you can dream up!
We offer custom closet solutions ranging from basic pre-fab kit installation all the way up to full-custom closets built from hardwood lumber, and everything in between. Our most popular options are edge- banded plywood closets with adjustable shelves. Average pricing around $250 per linear foot. We offer book shelves with adjustable or fixed shelving, ranging from solid hardwood construction to economical melamine products.

Working with Nate was a great experience. Much of the original trim from our 1892 Denver home was removed over several remodels. Nate matched the profile and stain of the original baseboard, cap, and shoe perfectly. The job took the work of a couple of local experts, so he helped us coordinate. Communication was a breeze, and the process was seamless. If your old home needs some love and you have the opportunity to work with Nate, I highly recommended it. But I should let the results speak for themselves. The photo shows one baseboard installed in 1892, the other last week. Can you tell which is

Nate was professional, fast, and communicated really clearly throughout the process. He made the trip to my house, took a few photos of the empty space I wanted the work done, and quickly provided me with a 3-D image of the proposed piece (a custom-built cabinet that could be both wheeled into different places around my kitchen but also firmly and safely be secured to a wall or another counter's edge when not in use). He was able to come up with really ingenious additions, like collapsible extensions and a hidden toe-kick that enabled the cabinet to move as well as be locked into place while matching

I had a shelf designed and built by Nate. He gave me a good price but my favorite part about working with him was the process. He showed my images and 3d renderings of the project before I spent a dime! He also sent me Google calendar invites for the whole process and showed up on time and ready to work. He left my house clean and tidy after each day. The built-in unit is beautiful and matched the esthetic of my 1920s home. Thanks!
