Despite modest beginnings, our unwavering and obsessive passion has resulted in TRS becoming the largest general distributor of automotive lighting upgrades in the world. Years ago there were no formal sources for retrofitting components. You would have to get a damaged headlight off of eBay or from a salvage yard, extract all the parts from it yourself and design and put together your own wire harness.

Unlike most other components of the projectors, such as ballasts, bulbs, and brackets, shrouds are not considered a necessity for the headlights. However, they can play an important role in defining your vehicles headlights. Shrouds, also known as bezels, enhance the sophisticated look of your vehicle's retrofit from the outside.

This is probably the worst online company I have ever used. The website has flat out wrong information and leads you to purchase products that do not fit your vehicle. I have a 2018 ram with projector headlights. I wanted to replace the yellow bulbs with white. When I clicked that option I was lead to buy two $65 each bulbs. I also purchased LED fog lights. After recovering the products I spent the many hours removing the grill and all the brackets and headlights to find that my truck does not allow that light to be charged because it’s built into the headlight. Worst customer service Ever! Ive bought many times from this company but the last 2 times i ordered they just kept on cancelling my order and don't even bother to call you and explain why the order has been cancelled and here Iam waiting for the parts to arrived which they never did. I called many times and no one answered, once finally go thru the call they put me on a never ending hold and gave up on this company! Thats not how you do business! You lost a customer! I recently bought 6 bulbs on closeout from TRS. Upon receiving my shipment which arrived pretty fast especially during these times, I noticed that one of the bulbs that I ordered had the wrong adapter. I contacted trs and they took care of me completely. I am very happy with the customer service and I look forward to buying from them again. Actually a friend needed some LEDs and I sent him the website so he can order from them. This company comes highly recommended.

Fantastic company. I purchased and item and needed help. I spoke with Christopher and Drew and they were really informative and friendly. They definitely showed a commitment to customer service and support for their products. They went above and beyond to help me get my lights and get set up. No doubt I will be checking them out for future lighting needs for my cars are toys. They have a significantly large amount of options as well. Great company in my opinion. I purchased headlights from The Retrofit Source and after installed I noticed that one was defective. I contacted The Retorfit Source about the issue and that's when this horrible experience started. With 24hr delays in response even when I would reply instantly after they would contact me and countless trouble shooting emails which took over a week just because they took forever to reply back (Literally could have been done in an hour) The headlight was deemed defective. I was happy with everything I'd received for my 2008 Ram headlights. But for my 2006 Mercedes they had instructed me to get a canbus adapter which I did not need and they were unwilling to take it back Because I took too long to let them know I didn't need it. Also for the Mercedes I had ordered reverse LED bulbs. They threw codes on my Dash and flickered, I had also taken too long to install them so I was not able to return them. Their solution was for me to go buy some resistors and wire them in. This is not my area of expertise so I asked where I would even get them and then he stated

Six years later, my driver's side headlight bulb (or ballast) finally gave out. The first place I thought of getting a replacement from; was the place I originally purchased my HID kit. There was no hesitation that I would return to TRS.

I ordered the Morimoto Motoho1ders to replace the spring clip retainers on my Morimoto HID lamps. What they sent me was the same spring clips that come with the lights. I called and told them I had the wrong parts. The asked me to send them a photo of what I received. I sent them that photo plus photos from their web site showing what it was that I wanted. How simple can it be? Received an E-mail stating that everything was taken care of and the right parts will be shipped. Two days later I receive my package. Guess what? That's right they sent me the same spring clip retainers. Evidently

The Retrofit Source provided excellent customer service both through e-mail and phone-- just have patience (they are on Eastern time zone). They were very professional and experienced making recommendations, and provided me with extra parts as needed.
I wish I can leave product reviews on their website because that was one thing I was skeptical about when I first stumbled across their website-- I didn't see any recent reviews from actual customers. Maybe that's something

These guys s***. Products are good, if you can ever get a complete set sent to you. Forget about customer service. Plan on waiting on hold for at least an hour. They've turned off chat options on their website and email's get responded to in about a week if you're lucky.

Awesome service and they definitely stand behind their products. Bought some terrific morimoto HD kit, after 2 yrs one went bad and they easily applied the warranty and have a new set being sent to me.
Easy to work with and will continue to work with them.
Tried XenonDepot before finding Retrofit and had nothing but headaches, nightmares and restocking fee from their products that did not properly.

I bought fog lights from their closeout section. One arrived with a broken mounting tab. They said that is classified as a "very minor cosmetic imperfection" and would not help me with this. I had to epoxy it back together, and I hope it holds. Consider this when buying from the closeout section.

I made an order and decided to cancel it. I called in and they told me the order had shipped. When I checked the tracking number it said the label was printed but it hadn't been picked up. I emailed them to let them know I didn't appreciate being lied to. They replied in a professional manner and provided proof that the order was shipped when they said it was.

Got a Morimoto Elite kit for my Sonata from their online store. The kit was top quality and the instructions made it super simple to install (I'm not a car guy, but I like to tinker). The bulbs actually fit better in my car and are easier to take on/off than the stock ones!
Anyway, after over 2 years I got a constant flicker in one of my lights. TRS support got back to me super quick and was very helpful in troubleshooting. We discovered the part having issues and they sent me a new one almost immediately. The kit worked flawlessly up until this point and sometimes things just break down

I rated this store three stars only because the HID lights and ballast kit I told to buy from their salesman was the wrong fit for my car. Their system said it was the correct size for my car but The HID lights would not clamp into the headlight lamps. I went to a professional installer to have the kit installed. Even though the store is high end customization their prices are reasonable so I didn't mind driving a great distance to get to the store. However, due to their mistake it was a wasted trip(there and back). Even though the lights did not fit, the cost of the HID kit I purchased

I bought a set of Morimotto led fog lights for my car. When the lights arrived they were defective. One light was always stuck in the down position and could only be adjusted up as high as 3 feet in front of my car. The other light was stuck in the up position and never adjusted down, always pointed up way in the sky.
I emailed customer service at TRS and they said there is nothing wrong with the lights. They said I was adjusting wrong. They asked me to send them a photo proof. I sent them a picture of the lights shinning at my garage wall. They informed me that I had to pay for shipping to return
