Owner, Bryan Dixon, began his love of all things Green in the rural outskirts of Jackson, Mississippi. He studied Landscape Management in college and went on to work for a variety of landscape designers, architects and maintenance firms to hone his craft. In 2005, Bryan started Creative OUTDOORS in Memphis, Tennessee.
The company began initially as only a Landscape Design Install business utilizing Bryan's extensive background in Landscaping, Irrigation, Lighting, Drainage and Hardscape. The Maintenance division was born, after a 2009 move to Charleston and the transfer of the business to the Lowcountry. With such a high demand for quality Maintenance after Landscape Installations, the decision was made, we are now a full service Green Industry business.

Bryan created a whole new backyard space for us including patio, fountain, firepit circle and extensive landscaping. The result is simply gorgeous! His knowledge of the potential plants that would thrive in our yard along with their placement made him stand out along with his creativity in designing our patio. He will listen and adjust the plan to meet all of your expectations. We highly recommend him!

My husband and I had a 'vision' to recreate an existing circular patio, to a backyard 'retreat', for entertaining, relaxation, reading, and the ability to enjoy the breezes that come through our yard-even during the heat of our summers. The breezes even allow us to sit in 'cool' shade throughout July, August, etc. I researched several companies that may help in this quest to recreate this area. Creative Outdoors LLC, with Bryan being the initial one to promptly meet with us....scheduled a time to ask questions and we 'interview' him. Bryan and Team have installed our irrigation system, re-sodded our entire yard, landscaped around our house and built a stone patio & walkway for us. We have always found Creative Outdoors to be prompt, reliable, professional, and reasonably priced. They perform quality work and do an excellent job of clean up. We love the improvements that Creative Outdoors made to our landscaping. They've been maintaining our yard for several years and helped us put together a plan when we were ready to make some improvements. They removed several dying or overgrown bushes and trees, planted several flowering shrubs, trimmed back a number trees, and planted sod in our backyard. Our yard looks brand new again and we love it.

Creative Outdoors took over my lawn care a year ago, and I have been happy with the care they have provided. I consider my lawn to be the "problem child" of the neighborhood and Creative Outdoors has been there to advise and offer assistance every time. BTW Bryan and Karen just got a compliment on the yard the other day from the mail person saying my yard always looks good.

When we first started working with Creative Landscaping, eight years ago. our yard was an embarrassing mess. The lawn was dead, the brick walkway leading to the house was broken and unnavigable, and our dirt driveway was very bumpy due to large protruding roots.
Bryan presented us a comprehensive landscape design and in the course of a few months, our yard became a showplace. He does it all. I am writing this review now so that I can give an accurate rating based on how our Zoysia sod (installed 6/2016) held up through this 2016-2017 winter. Our lawn looks wonderful! We worked with others and researched lawn care and just could not find a company that actually made any difference in the look of our deteriorating lawn. I spent many months driving around our neighborhood looking for nice! lawns and finally saw the Creative Outdoors crew working on my target neighbor's lawn. I called and Bryan came over very quickly (a nice surprise in itself) and we had a long discussion about our wants
