East Coast Lawn

I have been using this company for several years now, mostly out of lethargy to find an alternative. Every single year, I had to call them as they would not control weeds in and around rocks and in the walkway that are close to the yard. Even after calling Mike, the owner (who is very hard to get to) they would not fix it and I had to pay extra to my lawn guy to remove weeds. Finally I decided to give the business to the same guy who does my lawn mowing, price is about the same.

This service was not effective. Then, in the middle of the summer, their worker came to service my lawn spraying weed killer on my lawn in the middle of the day. This killed my lawn in multiple spots (see pictures). When I raised this with the company, they told me it was my fault and wouldn't try to rectify the problem. Worst. Company. Ever.

Predatory Business Model!!! Stay Away.

I prepaid for three services, which was all the work I ever wanted them to do. They then showed up and performed services that I didn't ask for and billed me for them. I didn't understand why I was getting a bill and asked. The response I got from East Coast Lawn is that I owed them money and I should ask their collections agency my questions. Confused I paid the bill and East Coast Lawn showed up again and performed services I didn't ask for.

I have been very pleased with this service. I always had bare spots, weedy spots, grub-infested spots. My lawn now looks like a green velvet carpet. My technician always sends me an email the day ahead so that I am aware he will be on my property, and he always closes the gates he opens. I typically did all this work myself, but I have also found that it is cost-effective because I buy retail and they buy wholesale. A great service!

This is my first time using a lawn service and I can say East Coast has been great! The yearly service I signed up for is a great value. They also provided me with lots of information about my lawns condition. I will update my review later this summer but right now I’m extremely happy. Give them a call it’s worth it.

I don't know where to begin. I guess I should just share the facts about my experience on this day (October 1, 2020)
Joe (tech) - arrived at my home to apply scheduled weed control. He services my lawn all season (6 previous applications). During his visit today, he was dismissive. He was very condescending when I asked about his application process. I wondered why he ran during the application process and didn't seem to cover all areas of my lawn with the same amount of product. There was a lot of back and forth about how rushed the job was. He kept restating how some areas had one amount

For over 20 years I did the fertilizing myself and this year I decided to give the lawn service a try. I'm glad I did, because my lawn looks great. East Coast Lawns is great to work with. I get an email a few days before they are coming out and I know what they are going to do. In retrospect, the program I was using on my own was no where near what East Coast Lawns is doing and I didn't do it at the right time and the costs are about the same.

We have been satisfied customers of East Coast Lawn for six years. When we started, our lawn was 85% weeds, and after 2 years our lawn was full , lush, and mostly weed free. After three years, and ever since, we have had the best lawn on our block! Andy or who ever else performs the service, arrives in the cool of the morning, applies the product evenly, and always leaves a note and further instructions on line regarding the current condition of our lawn, what is being done to improve it, and anything we need to do to enhance the application (such as watering). Had them (East Coast Lawn Gaithersburg MD) last season but didn't renew. Polite people, but don't listen to customer request! Never treated crabgrass which I requested...

East Coast Lawn provides excellent professional services at a fair price. It would be difficult to duplicate on your own the quality of work they perform and how beautiful your lawn looks year after year. Everyone who I have worked with at East Coast is always available and ready to answer any questions you may have about your lawn.

We've been using this service for several years and have always been satisfied. I like that they explain the service that was performed along with the purpose of the application and that they address any problem areas in their report and suggest solutions. The workers are careful and friendly. We've tried other services, but came back to ECL.

East Coast Lawn has completely turned my lawn around! What could never grow grass in past years is now full and beautiful and weed free. It took 3 seasons of regular service and following Kevin's recommendations for regular aeration and how to mow my lawn. Who knew I was mowing the lawn too short? My lawn is now the most beautiful in the neighborhood! Thanks to Kevin's informative nature and the hard work of East Coast Lawn. Great job, guys!!

My lawn has never looked better! Carlos is absolutely pleasant and reliable in calling ahead so we can leave the gate open for him to get in the back yard. Very reasonably priced programs!

If you are looking for a TRUSTWORTHY lawn service that will get the job done year after year, look elsewhere. Things started fine but eventually turned sour. We saw some improvement in the first couple of years, but starting last year it seemed like the treatments had stopped being fully effective. (Now I wonder if we were even getting all that we had paid for.) A weed cropped up and spread even after several visits. After a few complaints, East Coast tried to blame it on me (for not calling sooner, for letting someone else do aeration and seeding) but eventually they killed the weed. I guess Carlos

If I could, I will give negative five stars. I totally agreed with the other reviews. This is a waste of money. After one year, my lawn showed no different at all. What had they done?
This company sent me letter to ask me to continue the service, but I ignored the letter. Surprise : I received a bill from this company for something I did not even order, but Mike from East Coast Lawn said: since I did not call to stop the service after one year, therefore I have to continue paying by law. What kind of law is that?

We used them for years and watched weeds and moss proliferate. When we mentioned the problems (specifically crabgrass and moss), there was always an excuse, but no solution.. The situation got worse so we terminated the contract a couple of years ago and are now doing our own lawn care.

I used them for several years and while the service standards of the company went downhill so did the looks of my yard. By August my yard looked like a jungle - mostly weeds and little grass. I called multiple times and was never able to speak to anyone who knew anything. In addition we had a problem with the billing process. I called multiple times to speak to a manager but was never able to.. Is there a manager? We are extremely disappointed and will not use them again.

Awful service. A complete waste of money. Lawn looked better before 3 years with this company. All of my neighbors use others companies. I have the worst looking lawn in my neighborhood!!!

These people are happy to take your money as long as they don't have to deal with you. For us, they came regularly and dumped fertilizer and weed killer, but would not return our phone calls when we tried to reach them. We paid in advance for a year's worth of service but they came even after the year was over and charged us for an application that we think should not have been made. They don't understand customer service - are argumentative and disagreeable. Don't use their service!
