Company History Report

Steele Heating & Cooling got its start in Chelsea in 1955 by John W. Steele Sr. (left) pictured in a newspaper article from 2006, Tom Steele Sr. (center) took over the business from his father, in 1972. The business is now run by his sons, Tom Jr. ("Tucker") and Patrick Steele. We understand the importance of family and will work hard to take care of the needs of your family.

We are building our new home Steele Heating and Cooling was contracted through the builder (not by us, we would have definitely went with another company after the first month they didn’t come back as scheduled) it’s been almost a year and they still do not have our furnace hooked up! They never show up when they say they will be there, poor workmanship, and an all around sloppy job. The first time I called the office I was greeted with “who is this” in a very rude manner when I asked for the man who had left a voicemail on my phone. I would never, will never recommend this company. Still

Furnace went out at our cottage. Steele was at our place within 2 hours and diagnosed a bad control board for our 17 year old furnace. Hat to order overnight delivery was installed and running the next business day. Great pro.t service.

We were originally using a home warranty company, the contractor they sent out wanted to charge an extra $700 in modifications to install a new water heater on top of our deductible for the warranty. We had to call Steele to verify some work that the contractor "wasn't allowed" to do. We ended up choosing Steele to do the job because they were so much more professional, they definitely put the customer first!
