My aesthetic combines color, textures, lighting (both natural and artificial), furniture style and placement to create the perfect environment for your home, office or commercial space. Life by Design is the culmination of my experience and my passion for living. Since my childhood in rural South Carolina, I have redecorated, rearranged or redesigned every room that I have ever walked into (either in my mind's eye or physically)! As an interior designer and real estate stylist, I have worked with budgets ranging from $500 to $5 million, and bring the same level of service and attention to detail to each project.
Although my home base is in New York City, I have worked with clients and vendors throughout the New York City Metro and Tri-State area including Fairfield County, Westchester, Rockland, Bergen and Hudson counties. I have relocated clients from coast to coast.

Statistics show that staged properties sell for higher amounts and spend less time on the market than non-staged listings. This translates to more money in your pocket. JP will create a design plan and style your property to look like a design magazine photo shoot and set you apart from your competition.

JP did an amazing job with the gut renovation of our bathroom. He took the time to find out what we were looking for and gave great recommendations. He researched the colors that would be used in the time our building was built. He is a true professional with a great eye and attention for detail. I highly recommend him.

JP is an incredibly talented designer and knows the market well. He staged my apartment so well I considered not selling. My apartment sold in two weeks and with multiple offers ultimately getting $20k over ask. There's no doubt in my mind, the staging played a huge part in the success. I would highly recommend JP and Life by Design. He's a gifted designer who pays attention to every detail and is completely dedicated to your project. His pricing is very reasonable and he's available to his clients daily throughout the project. I can't wait to work with him again.

I would recommend JP 1000%. He helped me with light renovations, interior design, and then staging of my apartment to sell. He communicated well every step of the way. His ideas for the apartment were gorgeous and right on-budget. Plus, he used items I was going to get rid of in creative ways, lowering the cost and make me feel good about the environment. He was so helpful, even outside of his job-description, offering to assist me do so many little things which are annoying but necessary when preparing a home to sell. JP worked with us to "edit" our NYC apartment and did a great job!
We did not want to invest heavily in a complete overhaul, especially in a rental space with 2 young children and JP was open to the challenge. JP was skillful at working within our budget to re-purpose a lot of our pieces, plus added in new pieces to pull together the dining and living room space- along with adding in much needed decor/flair and lighting solutions. JP has a wonderful, positive energy and cheerful design style, plus I picked up some neat design tricks that he was willing to divulge. He does cool bookshelf

I have known JP for many many years. JP helped me organize my walk in closet which was a disaster! He showed up on time with all of his energy and enthusiasm. To my dismay he proceeded to completely empty the closet. He cleaned the walls of dust bunnies and dust. He methodically began to go through every piece of clothing I owned. We made a consign pile, donate pile and throw away pile. He then proceeded to advise me on outfits and how i can re-work my wardrobe.
